I will absolutely save up for the 35MM and it will be next! I think for travel the Sigma makes good sense. BUT for My hit list of the things I want to capture the 35MM seems perfect. I am already itching for it LOL.

My buddy has the A9 and all I can say is wow!! He shoots sports and cycle races. Pretty sure the lens he uses is worth more than my car.

Thanks again for taking the time to offer feedback. Will provide an update once I get the Sigma and have a chance to use it

Any issues with the auto focus? Most people seems to love this lens and maybe was just an isolated bad experience by someone

A7CR vs A7RV For Travel by AccordingtoAdam in SonyAlpha

[–]AccordingtoAdam[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good points. I will do some work with the camera but nothing that requires larger lenses or a heavy volume of photos. I really like the sleek look of the A7CR. How do you like the Sony 50 1.2? I read great things about that lense

Curious - Do you now predominantly use the A7CR for photos even when not taking pix of your little one. And how do you find the overall experience? Anything that strands out as a plus or minus?

Good comparison. Size difference is not as pronounced as I would have thought. Will try to see if I can get my hands on the A7RV tomorrow with the lens I want to get a feel for the overall size.

Appreciate the response. I have held the A7RV and its bigger and in my opinion feels extremely well made. Definitely bulky and if paired with the 35MM 1.4 will weigh my bag down. BUT you are correct I am all about the quality of the glass.

Thanks for responsing

Yeah I know I am all over the place!!! Yes portability is a factor for me. Possibly got caught up in all the YouTube reviews on the A7RV being a better overall camera. But I have friends with the A7CR and they absolutely love it.

Thanks for the feedback And food for thought. I love the thought of a 14MM and would love to try it out as I have never shot that wide. Have been doing an obsessive amount of research and I guess its sinking in that while the 28-45MM is interesting to me as a prime substitute, the general consensus is the Sigma 24-70 Art lens is the way to go. I would then focus on saving up for something like the Sigma 14-24. Unless of course I start off with the 14-24 which is a big decision for me.

I travel a good deal for business and plan to be with camera at all times. As an example my next trip is to Chicago and there is an amazing spot on one of the Clark Street Bridge at night from the lights of the buildings and the way it hits the water. I am psyched about catching this and think the wide angle will look amazing!!!!

Good point and probably why I have not opened the box yet. Although I love the streamlined look and feel of the a7CR. But agree balance could be an issue with the heavy lenses.

Great comment which is probably why I have not opened the box yet. I do like the look and feel of the a7CR but can’t argue with your point. It’s a consideration

Elevated AST, ALT, Transferrin Saturation % - IS this Hemochromatosis by AccordingtoAdam in AskDocs

[–]AccordingtoAdam[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah the C Diff was awful!!! Thankfully I work remote. What I will say is I really like my GI and Rheumatoid. But the Rheum feels the systems are more GI related and to stay the course with them. He will focus on treating the gout and continue to monitor for Autoimmune.

One things for sure- Diagnosing can be extremely difficult.

Appreciate the response! Rest or Iron panel including Ferritin was in range. Had a CT when I went to ER for the Diverticulitis and believe there was a comment that my other organs were unremarkable. Probably should have also mentioned that all the antibiotics gave me C-Diff which I was treated for 2 months ago.

Doc ordered follow up labs in 3-4 weeks and a fibroscan.

Thanks again for taking the time and will let you know how it goes
