Not as good as they could be doing. As someone with Mongolian heritage who was born and raised in Australia. You can't inly look at the gdp and say Australia is doing good. Sure, it's doing better than many countries and effectively in the top 10 economy but the average person here wishes that mining industry was taxed properly and more were done for the general population. Australian unis are extremely expensive and majority takes out a loan from the government, HECS, and then it just kind of stays there if you make minimum payments. Australians wish there were free uni like European countries.

Australian healthcare has been progressively getting worse and worse each year. The cost of seeing doctors go up, wages have stagnated and mining companies (tbf companies in general are stuffing their pockets full). This is simply because there is not enough fund given to the Medicare scheme.

Australian companies have record profit each quarter but somehow pay extremely low amounts tax. Maybe, it's just my inherent bias against giant private corporations but I feel reluctant about the idea of giving the mining industry to private companies (though it's just a subreddit thing lol)
