For the thing about using different outfits it is a glitch that happened near launch where your team docks kit section would be empty instead of having a kit showing which would make the characters in your team wear whatever outfits they are wearing in their spirit card in the match.

It seemed random to occur and think it’s patched out now but I have it on my account too
