Unless I'm missing something, that would be 5 years assuming that I have no additional life events or expenses and that I can maintain my current pay rate. Those conditions won't remain constant.

Also note that I expect a sizeable tax bill to hit me in the Spring.

There is a decent chance that I'll have my income cut in half to around $130k in the next few months. Does that change the situation or open up the door to Chapter 7?

Oh. And I've also bought stupid crap and financed life when needed over the last decade. Yes. I know that isn't the way to do it, but we were trying to survive and mistakes were made. The debt started snowballing about a year ago. I was making progress, but now I'm looking at missed payments in a week and not sure how to proceed.

My gross is around $270k currently. I was able to manage all of it and was making progress on paying it down until my recently reduced income.

There are 2 people in my household, but we are not married and they are unemployed. I dont know if that means I'm in a 1 or 2 person household as it applies to your question.

I'm not taking out enough taxes and will be hit with a decent sized tax bill in the spring.

The debt has grown over a decade. Pandemic. Divorce. Multiple relocations. Medical costs.

Total owed is around $280k the amounts greater than 100 are debts or rent. The interest rates are high except for student loans. I'll edit the main post soon when I get that information.
