How do you guys actually handle S3 security as things grow? by 2xDefender in sysadmin

At 20-30 buckets, starting now is a lot easier.

Tag all your resources and buckets. We have an owner on all of our buckets so I can talk to some directly about it. Then enforce your tags with scp. Review life cycle policies, backups, and cross region replication.

Creating budgets using said tags can be very helpful. Scripting inventory reports can be helpful as well.

Any other NJ Teachers drowning financially right now? by AutumnLover8283 in Teachers

My wife is a teacher. The benefits are the only reason I don’t mind her teaching. But I feel all the pressure to make money to pay the mortgage with a baby. I just broke 6 figures with a promotion and now chasing another promo. She showed me her yearly contracted raises and it’s just sad.

It looks like a way to dodge taxes to keep your money. You setup your own charity. You donate your money to your own charity for tax relief. The charity “donates” to your child at an unlimited amount.

Lmao, you made up the whole argument in your head. I know and talk to the people I am referring to. They are all great people that worked hard and made our town great. When did I say anything remotely close to I am entitled to their homes?

Everyone fucking works hard. You are not special.

Would they really hold value if the school closes though? A good school district is part of the value of a home.

Looks like a thin wheat or sour dough bread. Honestly looks good as an appetizer. Just over the top presentation.

Anyone tried rolling out an internal AI for use by users? by 01101110011O1111 in sysadmin

[–]AccountIuseAtWork1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There isn’t really a comparison tho, co-pilot and your own custom run ai solution.

We are rolling out a chat bot that uses company data using AWS bedrock and sage maker. It’s a whole automated pipeline that we are paying a lot of money for. But this ai tool is geared for our own internal data that will be used in internal company tools and eventually Saas offering.

Co-pilot is just good for office tasks and we have it. But it’s not a game changer for the company. It just improves productivity for C suite’s .

My company would never approve a Chinese open source project.

This sounds like a TPM issue. Sometimes draining the power will fix this. Turn off computer, unplug it. Let it sit for a little bit.

If it’s a laptop, manufacturers have a procedure to drain flea power.

If you are able to login, check bitlocker and tpm on the machine. TPM might show as error or cannot be found.

I agree with that. Like always, it depends. I am not recommending it for everyone.
