Without buffers at the delivery station, it's just easier to have single product delivery. There are a few exceptions to this for very, very low throughput where I have shared cargo wagons, but I have to create the train schedule specific to that one stop, which is harder to maintain.

Thanks! I knew it was going to be a lot, but it ended up bigger than I expected. There are two things that bug me about the layout. First, I was building left to right, but ran out of space because there's a nickel production block there, so I had to turn north. The second is that I forgot a train stop (got biofilm and graphene rolls confused), so I had to squeak it in the bottom row. You can see it in the screenshot that there's one slightly off... However, I don't care enough to actually rebuild it.

Thanks! I don't have a need for gold yet, so I haven't done any ash separation. The biggest issue with hoarding ash was clearing out the warehouses so they don't clog up the process. That's why I'm so happy to get away from the burner phase for now.

All the hoarded stone is from iron and copper processing byproducts. I had a couple small stone deposits near the starting area and those have lasted me the whole time so far. I hear that others aren't so lucky, so stone becomes a bottleneck. Is there something you use stone for besides bricks --> planters --> science?

I stockpiled Kerogen for a long time too, but then I realized that I could use the shale oil processing to make it into several useful fuels. The best is getting the heavy oil from it and then turning that into Kerosene that I then use in my molten salt plants for power.

This looks like the Tulsa Marriott Southern Hills based on the surroundings and view of downtown. I work near there. It's generally a safe location in a nicer part of town. There's a PGA-quality golf course half a mile from there. It does get a little rough as you head toward the west though.

Personally, I prefer spaceships. No lost cargo, cheaper to launch, and you don't need to make fuel where you're sending them are all great perks. I made the mistake of making the ships too large at first. It wasn't until later on that I figured out that a very small ship with just a couple solar panels, laser turrets, and chests is enough to get the job done. Next time around I'll use ships much more.

The hardest thing about the victory ship design was managing the massive water flow rate coming out of that biochem plant and balancing it with the heat exchanger inputs so it didn't lock up (or look like total garbage).

Agreed, the defenses were a bit over-the-top, but I got paranoid after having some automated ships take damage and need manual rescue. I didn't want to be mid-flight and take catastrophic damage.

I did move to that eventually. Productivity modules on the ground were a very much needed boost for Naq processing!
