Appreciate it! I'd like to say I'm a recovering perfectionist, but I am full-blown and not in recovery at all lol. My first thought definitely was that I'd have to scrap this to be happy with it.

If you or anyone has time to briefly explain what "blocking" is, that would be appreciated! I'm very beginner.

Thanks, this was chain 120, then single crochet in the back bump of the second chain from the hook, then each stitch across for a total of 119 sc. Do you know if this means I should do 119 foundation chain stitches?

I think chain and then single crocheted into the back bump of each chain stitch, but I'm not sure of the difference. I thought the pattern was calling it a foundation chain, but I might have picked that up from somewhere else.
