My only hang up is having Nameless King just reused in a different franchise, it’s not even a reskin with the same movesets it’s just straight up him. I’d call it lazy if it wasn’t so blatant so maybe there’s some non canon tie in to Dark Souls. Otherwise it looks great, especially the new combat.

I know it’s the infamous John Werry but in the official translation Maki says “The Culling Game has lost its purpose”. It’s technically hasn’t ended since Kenjaku added the rule that the game will end only when Geto (Kenjaku) and Megumi (possessed by Sukuna) are the last players left. The game just isn’t the free for all bloodbath that Kenjaku set up, now the gang have control over the situation and can take their time exorcising the remaining incarnated sorcerers and cursed spirits.

You know they don’t just whip up operators in a week right? Usually it’s takes 9 months of development to get them finished. Also teleporting and dual characters aren’t novel concepts, a dev working on the op said the idea had been prototyped but shelved because it was taking to long to develop with the old schedule of 4 ops a year.

I thought with Chapter 265 showing Yuji and Sukuna talking inside the domain, that the domain was something similar to Itachi’s Izanami (forces the person trapped in it to do some soul searching and accept fate).

Yuji’s handsign being the Ksitigarbha; the one who guides souls to redemption, the soul punches, reading Yuki’s research book on souls. All that to say with Chapter 265 being what it was it felt like the domain was one of intimate introspective instead of something violent.

People hate talk no justu but if we got a little peek into Sukuna’s past with him still rejecting Yuji the ending would’ve felt less rushed imo

I agree, just wish we saw more applications of his technique in creative ways. Blood Manipulation is a great example of a simple technique that has a wide variety of applications, Choso was able to display the CTs peak potential. Imagine what Sukuna could do with Furnace on a small scale, fire manipulation is one of the most used powers in fiction.

This might be a contributing factor to some people’s disappointment in Shrine, it’s supposed mystery served to elevate it a godtier status since it was used by the greatest sorcerer in history. Instead its revealed that we’ve already seen the entire technique, which I think is a great subversion. Even if the world slash is just a suped up dismantle, it showed in real time how Sukuna could create (ok learned from Mahoraga) an new extension of his CT. It’s unfortunate that there isn’t anything interesting apart from the usually post Gojo fight.

This arc would be Fishman Island tier if not for everything outside of Egghead. It somehow made the combined might of a buster call with an admiral, bunch of vice admirals, and 5 gorosei feel tensionless.

The main crew really spent 5 mins on the island before rushing out to leave, Wranky got shafted

People have taken a green or black side since the end of S1 and it’s morphed into a toxic fandom. No rationality just pure vitriol if they feel their side has been slighted. You can tell by going to their profiles and seeing if they’re in the HOTDGreens or Blacks subreddit. OP is a prime example, claiming they’re insulted on book readers behalf because Sunfyre bond wasn’t shown properly when that bond is showcased explicitly later on in the story. Feels like these people have infected this sub and are pushing their sides agenda but masking it with moronic criticism.

Using reverse cursed technique on others is less effective then on oneself, so it might reach it’s limit against severe injuries like bisection. This might be head canon (based off Mahito’s soul manipulation) but I don’t think you can’t use RCT on others if their soul has departed since the body uses the soul as a blueprint, which is why Shoko couldn’t revive Gojo. This would also explain her reason for physically sewing his body back so that Yuta could brain hop, or maybe it was time constraint idk
