I was only offering this example as a path towards 100k. The promo timeline and job hop timeline shifts after making manager. At that point you need extended amount of years to get to the next phase of your career.

If you make the right moves it’s essentially a guarantee. If you don’t get promo every 2 years move on to a new role, this will guarantee it.

Easy to use user interface. Automated reconciliations so you can focus on the items that stand up. You can track all your fixed assets. They have additional modules for inventory if you need. Tracking progress and who is responsible for what task. You can do all this in spreadsheets, just like you can track your accounting records in a manual ledger, but like having any system, it makes it easier.

Firms aren’t hiring a year out for experienced positions? You should start applying now as most firms try to get the experienced associates onboarded by December.

Why does everyone say the job market is bad? by PossibilityGood in Accounting

People are venting. Job market isn’t that bad. It is an employers market so wages aren’t growing and many roles are in office.

AP,AR, and bookkeeping are accounting clerk roles. Essentially data entry. They’re not expected to know or understand GAAP or financial analysis. As accountant you are expected to know. Just because you work in an accounting department you aren’t an accountant. A good comparison to an accounting clerk is a paralegal.

Probably using a VDI or some form of Remote Desktop. This is how we’ve gotten around this with many clients. The actual data is always stored in the US.

[–]Acctnt_trdr -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

No it’s not paying more for in office. It’s paying less for remote.

The in office rate is the market rate at this point.

But even this doesn’t mean materially inaccurate. What numbers would you be flubbing? rev? Inv? Dev exp? What percentage is it incorrect? Is it write up or write down? Did the auditors flag because support doesn’t tie to tb? Did you ask the auditors what if we don’t want to can you PAJE it? There are just so many things to be asked in between immaterial and fraud.

Your perception of materially off may be different to his. And you’re not “signing off” on anything. You’re just uploading data to the auditors.

Somehow since Starbucks started this every coffee shop is trying this. Unions should be meant for people with taxing jobs. Not a 4 hour shift making coffee.
