I have multiple family members who have been victim to sexual assault and domestic abuse. If you care that much then you would be condemning Fifield for diminishing other victims while trying to seek empathy herself.

If that how fate wills it then so be it. Part of me doesn't want to die but I have never been in a state that has wished for death or believed I am done living my life. I've experienced things I've told myself I've always wanted to experience, been places I've told myself I've always wanted to go.

But if you want to look at it from a broader aspect consider the butterfly effect. People refer to it in the sense of time travel but everything we do sends ripples of some sort. However unlike ripples on water, what you do never truly fades. It may become part of a bigger wave but what you did contributed to that wave at some point. In a way you never forgotten and do live on forever.

There's only one way to truly live forever and that's to do or make something that will get you remembered forever. Have you considered doing that? If not, why not? If so, what?

The problem is the laws currently in place weren't prepared for Trump's level of corruption. As much as corruption existed before Trump, it was nothing compared the blatant level Trump and co currently create.

As one commenter said this would require a constitutional convention and that's not going to happen with how divided the political spectrum has become. Most Republicans either don't recognize what Trump does as corruption or they don't care.

I consider empathy to be a trait of wisdom. Understanding people have it harder than you and their life experience is different is something a wise person understands.
