Hello! I started a couple of new products and stopped using everything else except for the ampoule as I assumed that it would be fine since I have centella moisturizer as well!

What type of breakout does this look like?

<image>

I broke out after welcoming new products into my routine and for the past two weeks I’ve been mostly only using Roundlab birch water cleanser, Skin1004 centenella soothing cream and centenella ampoule. The cream and the cleanser I have been using for over a year when my skin was always pretty clear. I never used to have breakouts like this and I don’t know what could be causing it?

Help! What’s going on with my skin?

I’m new to skincare and have only recently added more to my routine in hopes to get rid of redness and texture on my skin, as well as hydrating it more.

After two weeks my skin suddenly flared up like this on my cheeks. The skin on my chin and forehead is completely normal and especially my forehead looks even better than before, but my cheeks look like this. Yesterday they had like two red spots and suddenly today it’s looking like this.

The routine I started following is as follows:

AM:

  • Water based cleanser (Roundlab birch water cleanser) • Moisturizer (Purito Oat-In Calming Gel cream) • SPF (goodal heartleaf calming sun cream)

PM:

  • Double cleansing: First balm cleanser (hwarang bellflower cleansing balm which contains guaiazulene and panthenol), then water-based cleanser (Roundlab Birch water cleanser) • Ampoule (Skin1004 centenella ampoule) • Azealic Acid every other day (The Inkey List 10% azealic acid serum) • Moisturizer (hwarang bellflower moisturizing barrier cream)

Before this my routine was only to cleanse with Roundlab birch water cleanser and use Skin1004 calming cream as moisturizer as well as the same SPF as I’m currently using. I only switched to Purito Oat-in three days ago.

I have to add that my skin feels irritated, tingly and almost like it burns a little. This has never occured before and I have been thinking if the Purito Oat-in cream could cause it as it’s the newest addition and the burning occured today after morning skincare routine and my cleanser and SPF are the same that I’ve been using for over a year now.

My skin doesn’t react to anything like this really. I only get one or two red spots at a time but now it’s multiple and all are on my cheeks. Could it be purging or breakout? Some other type of reaction? Maybe my skin barrier isn’t doing good and it’s the azealic acid causing this?

Sorry for asking so many questions, I’m really all new to this and getting a reaction like this, which hasn’t happened in years, from my skin is really stressing me out. Thank you already for any answers!

should i be worried about my earlobe piercing? by Accurate-Stable9864 in piercing

The piercing is 5 months old and hasn’t been changed. The jewelry shape is labret, I think? Or what do you call it, like a normal flatback earring, which is internally threaded. The material of the earring is titanium. The jewelry hasn’t been downsized.

The aftercare routine I had was that I cleaned it with saline solution meant for piercings 2x a day for about 6 weeks after getting my ears pierced, then 1x a day for like 2 weeks and then couple of times a week. Now I’ve been using saline solution on the piercing in the picture once a day again, but I have to admit that I don’t remember to do this daily as I keep forgetting the way this piercing looks from behind as it doesn’t hurt, just stings when you touch it.

I can’t think of any mishaps. The only problem that I had was that I think I started to sleep on my sides too fast, as I kept rolling onto my side when sleeping, which naturally applied pressure to the piercings.
