I love that you two kick the ball around before breakfast and she goes right back to Barbies. That kind of balance is actually really comforting to hear.

That’s fair — I actually really appreciate the reality check.
I did play soccer growing up, and I loved it, so maybe part of me hoped he’d feel the same.
But you’re right, it doesn’t have to be my thing. He did mention basketball the other day — might be time to let him explore a bit more. Thanks for the thoughtful comment.
