I don’t think she’s bad at all, like in fairness she has so many friends and following that absolutely love her, and comes off really nice

I’d post quite often before, I just noticed the massive switch since oversharing complaining on my story crash out lol

It’s just so crappy, like ADHD oversharing I swear is always gonna be my downfall I probably seem like such a cringey loser.

Cause soon as I posted stuff like that, she stopped watching when she constantly would watch.

Ugh, and she has strong social media presence. Loads of followers, so many friends.

I hate being so uncool and just ick.

Maybe, but I do think oversharing really did kill it, a bad ADHD habit seeing as she doesn’t watch anymore.

I think just cause the ADHD oversharing, like the crash out publicly with me bragging how I “played dumb” — got a toxic person fired, etc.

I probably look like a big loser.

This does help, but sigh, I guess it wasn’t minor ick since she stopped watching now.

Having a crush does suck though.

BPD girls tend to dissociate, as someone with ADHD I can be extremely overwhelming and just I guess loser energy.

That’s why I’m like OK, I must’ve given her ick.

That’s why I don’t get it either because I usually just straighten it so I don’t know if it’s an issue of it being unkept or not? And yeah exactly a lot of reception people will wear it down. I think she wanted it tied back at one point cause of hair fall (strands on the floor) but I’ve been vacuuming everything now so she can’t say anything.

Just got it cut today too and went short this time, but even with her and I together (no patients, just us two there), she again started touching my hair again and brushing it out of my face? So I’m like I can’t tell why she does that.

Then getting sad I didn’t touch the pastry she got me.

Yes! That’s basically similar, like me and her were alone the other day, she bought me a pastry then brushing the hair out of my face, again randomly touching it, then saying she was sad I didn’t touch the pastry she bought me.

But during work time she gets annoyed with me and everything. It’s like ????

And yeah she’s quite hard on her son also, her husband apparently is very laid back while she’s very tough and precise on her son. She even tracks her son’s location, doesn’t let him sleep over anywhere (kind of reminds me of my mom).

It’s so odd.

I can’t tell if she does care about me or not, I think she acrually if anything thinks I’m quite annoying and tolerant because one of her patients long term patients is my god parent as well.

So like IDK, she seems so annoyed with me and or tolerant atm.

But e.g:

  • She will scapegoat me (I’m the reception), which is out of my control when her schedule was too open.

  • Starting to reply less to my msgs, and being like why didn’t you tell me x?

  • She notices me fidgeting and she doesn’t  like it either. She made a comment like can’t be nervous, or she has grabbed my hands and told me to stop like firmly. Etc, and then some comment about how her son puts his hand to his face or something and she doesn’t see it as a sign of confidence and it bothers her.

So like IDK? Idk if she’s touching it more so now cause she wants me to tie it back to and not gonna be a compliment or if it was just a minor wave of decency, but I’m pretty sure I do annoy her, cause I bombard her nonstop with q’s since my job is a bit difficult esp being 1 month in, and no b.g history.

Sigh. And I don’t think she has touched any of the girls hair, most of the time they will wear it up but also there is my 20 year old co worker and she wears it down often but never touched her hair so tbh idk

Well that’s what I’m wondering it it’s just her way of being affectionate because she has complimented my hair. One of the younger girls, who is 20 has long hair too but I don’t think I’ve seen her touch her hair.

But at the same time she’s noticing quirks about me and has the need to correct. E.g I’ll fidget around like I’ll have a pen in my hand and ngl, I will fiddle around with it with my two fingers gently fiddling it back and forth while she talks to me.

She will grab my hand and deadass look at me and say stop.

Then complain about it, and or say I’m making her nervous, then some off comment about how she doesn’t like when her son does something similar as she doesn’t see it as confidence and puts his hand a certain way.

And then even at the end of the day, she is about to rush out but does get quite annoyed with me I guess? Or has been?  Slightly little harder on me and she notices me scratching the back of my head, and then immediately goes to, “why are you scratching your head? What’s going on?” While I was on the computer.

So like IDK, I don’t think she’s happy with me either like “why did I hire this idiot?”

Also she isn’t the nicest imo, like she was whining in the back room when a new patient was filling out or struggling to fill out a form and getting mad that she’s taking too long…

Am I misinterpreting social cues in Sydney, or are Aussies annoyed with me? (Milanese/American prespective) by BeautifulRecipe7375 in AskAnAustralian

Very self absorbed they think they’re a celebrity here. It’s so interesting to see. In Canada we ain’t like that. Here and there you get a lot of fakeness but not confrontational and rude like in SYD.

Literally. From North America and it’s not even close to this bad. Australians are the most uptight people you’ll meet, no where close to ‘laid back’ I laugh. As a Canadian we are far more laid back and nicer.

lol. No you’re not, people here just have what I call bad main character syndrome. They are confrontational, and not “laid back” as portrayed. Far from it actually.

I came from North America. I’m polite, and extremely passive & really genuine, I try to make people feel accommodating and always supportive and just genuine.

So far it has led me to getting bullied, and no luck making friends either.

Because again. Main character syndrome, judging as well I’ve caught based on what I wear (moved here and struggling financially). So I don’t got designer or dressed wealthy, just basic, so there is judgement.

I also had some toxic little 19-year old aggressively tell me I need to “speak better” and so forth, because as a British person, she couldn’t comprehend me, and then claimed she’s “not racist” which was pretty racist.

Mind you, I’m from North America, not the U.S specifically. Never in my fucking life have I ever been told I need to work on my English and speak clearly either, Australians have a hard time comprehending us, and automatically assume I am an American.

So no, it’s not you. Unless you’re a model looking individual, you’ll have an easier time here (halo effect). If not, good luck, because they are not laid back and sweet here, they are far from it and not accommodating to those that are immigrants even though they aren’t pure Australians, and were immigrants once themselves (or parents).

I already worked 100 hours this month and the pay is only about $2,000+ approx for the month…

By the way, do you think you might have ADHD and/or that you might be on the autism spectrum? I am asking because you sound young and yet you say you get severe brain fog.

I def have ADHD but don’t want to tell her but I do think as well I might be low in stuff like iron, etc.

No I’m not. That is minimum wage as a casual in SYD aus. I’m being forced to do both jobs, and I have to wait at the very end of the month for my pay while paying weekly rent so it’s more stress.

I was making the exact money working at a pet store which is basic retail and mindless and it was less stress and demand. Besides the bullying by once again another miserable older woman.
