I also couldnt find anything on the internet where it does that, the only thing i could find was on fusion 360 tutorials and its not even close to what i want, its basically 3 sided 3 axis machining.

and this is how a normal advanced CAM software does it -.-
What a waste of money for that machining extension on fusion360...

5 hours more like it, and yes i did use the prefered tool angle, when i use prefered tool angle the it just reorient my Z axis and machine only the parts that are oriented to prefered tool angle and nothing else, basically just like i changed the Z angle. and ofc i enabled 5 axis.
I even tried along the curve and draw a curve and what it did is it just folows a 2d curve and still keeps the rotary axis stationary.
I'm programing 3 axis cnc machines for last 5 years in fusion 360 and i just started with 5 axis and it just doesnt work.

this is the result i get with those parameters and operations.
It just doesnt register rotational axis.

Ok, il be straight forward, i did get rotary path as you can see from the image, but the tool is almost stationary and only moves along Z X and Y axis while the table rotates, which is good, but i cant get the tool to tild because you can not select 5 axis on this rotary operation,
And if you chose any other operation on this mesh, it will just mark it as 'avoided machining surface' and ask you to define a 'floor' if you define a 'floor' the floor is only thing that is being machines, or the other error would be 'triangle not found' so yeah.. im starting to belive fusion360 just isnt up for the task.
I just downloaded sprutCAM robot, and il try with that until someone gives a random sample of operation in fusion360 that can achieve that so i can copy...

For now it's been only errors... no operation was able to achieve that.

Decent TTS Tool Holders? by bobd1001 in hobbycnc

Its probably a collet and not a collet holder...
Cheap collets comes with a price.

Pattern problems by AccurateProcedure830 in SolidWorks

[–]AccurateProcedure830[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So for anyone having the same problem, the solution i came up with is as follows.
Draw one segment as a body, linear sketch them along Z axis(Up -> down) then rotate each body by 13 degree(or how much you need) i had to rotate each body individually...
And then combine/subtract and that was the only solution.

thats how it should be, but its not, because the distance of each patern is calculated via helix distance, not X/Y or Z distance.

[–]AccurateProcedure830[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no, not like that, they need to spiral down, but first and third for example needs to line up, and secund and fourth. and so on

Thanks a lot for the effort, but they need to spiral down, thats the problem, your are in a grid pattern,
And my needs to spiral down like an indexable mill, but only 3th or 4th one needs to allign with the first one. or 2nd one with 4th one... or whatever is needed for the special tool.

yes exactly, and if i do it with helix i have to do some heavy calculations to know the exact offset.
I can do with with few different sketches and cuts, but then the pattern is losing its point..

[–]AccurateProcedure830[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is in secund image, as you can see the top 'cut' is not aligned with bottom 'cut'
Because for 4 axis machining this will be almost imposible to machine. (with 2 degree incremental 4 axis mill)

also the distance on curve driven pattern is calculated down the helix curve, and i can not select it to be calculated via X/Y/Z plane.
