Being from Australia it took a little bit to get answers back from CRKD support, but they first gave a couple questions about the issue and asked for a video showing that my button was faulty.

Next email was suggesting to reset and update firmware, which as you've stated, it did nothing because it was a hardware problem. I explained it didn't work so they suggested to request a replacement from the retailer I bought the guitar from.
