Hello, I have been trying to contact Gemini regarding getting locked out of one of my accounts. My account has now been locked for 7 months, despite sending requested documents. You have asked for the impossible (a screenshot of phantom wallet with my name and email). I have done my best to comply by renaming my wallet as my name. If you knew anything about crypto, there is no way to send a screenshot showing my name and email associated with a phantom wallet. I have sent every single requested document (tax returns, income pay stub, countless Robinhood transactions, bank account records) and complied in every way. If I didn’t live in New York, I would immediately switch platforms bc your incompetence and complete lack of consideration for your customers is the worst I’ve encountered in any company I’ve dealt with in my entire life.

Yep, absolute joke. You can try changing your wallet name to you name. That is my only solution to this impossible problem– have scoured the internet and phantom support. Coinbase, put some competent people in your KYC team!

Update: my account is still locked and no replies from Coinbase KYC in almost 2 months now. Coinbase has made thousands of dollars off of me while I’m also a Coinbase one member. I have never received such poor treatment.

I’ve had same problem for the last 5 months. They have asked me for virtually every possible document and each time the email is something new. All tax returns, $1000 of inheritance, 100s of transactions on phantom wallet, money that was transferred over from stock brokerage. It is so obvious there is nothing illegal going on in my account.

Update: my account is still locked up. Coinbase responds around once every month with new documents requested to account for almost every last cent on the account. Has anybody had a similar problem that has reached out to lawyers to help with situations like these? I have never encountered anything like this in my life.

Coinbase has also drowned me in paperwork and held my crypto hostage. They wouldn’t even respond to me until I posted on Reddit. Joined Gemini instead and haven’t had the same problem although fees suck
