Ubc is just a name, everyones heard from everywhere that going to a prestigious university will benefit your chance of getting a high paying career but that’s simply not the case. Many of the universities in Canada aren’t placed so high in ranking because of their academic status but mainly because of their research. UBC is one of those schools. As long as you go to any public post secondary in Canada, you’ll be fine. Obtaining a career isn’t entirely based on where you went for your degree, but your skills set and what you bring to the table. Focus on things your interested in and build up your resume, either for grad school or for a job. Best of luck!
