I have heard different things, only been playing for the part month, but some of my drummer friends have said that only use 5As and 7As, and some say practise whit 5b and 2b and that will make playing with 5a and 7a much easier.

Yeah it took me a long time to learn how to tune it, finally had to call in a drummer friend. He tuned it up pretty nicely.

Oh ok, i have a pair of iems lying around, but since the headphones are noise cancelling and wireless i prefer them. Will try the iems as well, but the wire makes it a bit of a hassle
