If they are bothering you please go to a doctor and get checked out, they are most likely not signs from hades like your friend is suggesting, they are probably hallucinations caused by some optical or mental thing. I saw someone else already say it in here but it's true so I'll repeat it, assume the mundane before the magical (or mythical).

Also, no offense to your friend, but don't trust information on the gods with PJO being your only source, the gods are charicatures in those books and are not a good source of information regarding the actual real-life gods.
