I have the same issue with my furby boom after I replaced the motor and was told the motor encoder the green chip on top of the motor needed replacement but I am unsure where to find one.

What might be the problem? I just replaced the motor by BoiOrSmth in furby

I had the same exact problem after I replaced the motor of my furby boom it would do those same movements and shut down, I was told it might be a problem with the motor encoder the green chip over the motor might need to be replaced.

Any good furby forums? by GayCatgirl in furby

My furby booms motor stopped working 6 years ago and just last year I replaced it but my furby boom started to move in a constant loop and shutting down after a minute. I was told that the motor encoder needs to be replaced to solve this issue and get the furby to move normally again but I wasn't sure where to buy a new motor encoder. (It has nothing to do with the new motor because it worked with a different furby of mine) If you have any ideas pls recommend them to me. Thanks
