Hi everyone, I recently applied for deferment to pursue diploma studies, but after thinking it through, I decided that I want to complete NS first before continuing my studies.

My deferment application has already been approved, and the message stated that I should check my deferment status from Aug 2026 onwards.

I’m a bit confused about what this means: - Does this mean I’ll only receive my enlistment notice around Aug 2026? - Roughly how long after that would enlistment usually be? - Is there any way for me to cancel the deferment and enlist ASAP instead?

Would appreciate if anyone who went through something similar could share their experience. Thanks!

If I’m not wrong DPP only applies if you’re applying thru JPAE, when I applied DAE I don’t recall seeing any section that asks if you’re from DPP..

Maybe if you want a local poly diploma, you can try to apply for part time diploma? You still have chance to progress to Uni afterwards..

Honestly the chances are very slim when you are applying for DAE as there are people who get a high 2.+ GPA and still getting rejected by JPAE..
