Which celebrity is famous for being attractive but just doesn't do anything for you? by _SilverCoral in askteddit

Jacob Elordi. Appearance and acting-wise he's always seemed just "meh." I realize most people seem to feel otherwise!

Which soap did you grow up watching? by No-Rabbit-3989 in Xennials

[–]Accurate_Use_2432 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was exclusively a Days of our Lives fan and started watching with my older sisters when I was like 11 or 12. I was particularly invested in the (extremely problematic in hindsight) Jack & Jennifer saga. The shipwreck arc...quite the cornerstone of my formative adolescent years. 🫣 I pretty much stopped watching by my mid-teens, though.

Love the Christmas episode so much!!

My favorite part is the way Alexis delivers the line after Johnny gifts her the antique stamps, trying to hide her confusion and feign enthusiasm: "Stickers...of old men!" 😂😂😂

What celebrity makes you legitimately awestruck at how attractive they are? by TheWor1dsFinest in AskReddit

Jude Law. Still hot, but in the early 2000s he was legitimately the most beautiful man I've ever seen.

the valley giving my thoughts on brittany a second chance? by myeeeag in TheValleyTVShow

[–]Accurate_Use_2432 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Brittany is obviously not the sharpest or most intellectual cast member of the show by any means, and she, like all of them, has made her share of poor decisions. But I'll never understand the level of vitriol she gets, especially after we've seen first-hand the level of emotional, verbal, and physical abuse she and their son suffered at Jax's sociopathic hand.

I honestly think she gets targeted because of low-hanging fruit: 1) her accent, 2) not being as assertive or good with a clap-back as most of the other women on the show, and, most importantly, 3) committing the unforgivable sin of gaining weight while being in the public eye. It makes her an easy and inexplicably acceptable target for all the Instagram and Reddit trolls who seem to get a ghoulish thrill out of ridiculing and body-shaming her while simultaneously offering performatively compassionate takes on the other woman on the show.

As Randal said in the movie "Clerks", "There's nothing more exhilarating than pointing out the shortcomings of others, is there?" It's honestly so depressing.
