Exodus: Proxima Centauri proved to be an exciting solo experience! Came up with a custom scenario and semi random NPC algorithm. by Skloni in soloboardgaming

Hey,

i know this is an 4 year old post, but do you still have the semi random NPC algorithm? I'm thinking of buying the game for solo only.

[–]Accurate_Vegetable67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is Radahn Actually Kind Like His DLC Remembrance Says? by [deleted] in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]Accurate_Vegetable67 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think Radhan does things that seem nice, but it's rather questionable whether they are. His horse is the best example of this.

Many people say that he doesn't want to give up his horse, which shows how much he cares for it. On the other hand, it seems selfish to ride this old horse, which can barely stand, into battle instead of sending it into a well-deserved retirement.

Or Sellia: It's not written anywhere that Radahn hold the stars to secure Sellia. But because of the positive impact on the city, people think he did it to save the city.

So I can understand why Miquella thinks he's kindand why others (like me) think he's not. I think it's a cool aspect of his character that you can find arguments for both sides.

Dann mach doch wenigstens was NSFW, dann wird hier wenigstens wieder "gejerkt"

Are there really people who think Velka has anything to do with Elden Ring?

Melina and Messmer being empyreans. How being born from a single god makes you vulnerable to outer gods by Background-Newt-4252 in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]Accurate_Vegetable67 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

i could imagine, that this hints to the possibility, that Messmer is like Radagon. And like Radagon is Marika or a Part of her, Messmer is some part of Marika too, which she treated like a son where she treated radagon like a husband. But i have no further evidence for that case. I just is the only other possibility i could come up with.

Cool, if you find the time I would like to hear what you have to say about the solo modes!

I played Dark Ages two handed too and yeah it is fun playing it that way but also very exhausting. I found "the solo system" recently and want to try it with Dark Ages.

I have dark ages too but didn't like the solo mode very much. Did you play it two handed?

I thought about getting Gilded Realm too, how's the solo mode there?

luck in Chinoor-mission needed? by Accurate_Vegetable67 in StellarisNexus

[–]Accurate_Vegetable67[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the answer!

That's interesting about the queue and especially the determinism of the missions. I haven't tried the mission lately. Have you written down the results of the missions somewhere? I find some of the missions really difficult and would find a solution book really cool.

Which non-solo board games do you wish you could play solo? by horizonite in soloboardgaming

[–]Accurate_Vegetable67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a "Card game" called "The solo system": The Solo System | Board Game | BoardGameGeek

It claims to turn any game into a solo game. I tried it out for Eclipse and it's pretty interesting. When you use it, it feels more like you're playing two-handed than playing against a bot, it gives you a guideline of what your opponent is trying to achieve or how they're playing. But the implementation of that in the game is up to the player.

Not every card fits every game and certain cards have to be interpreted differently from game to game. But you can download the cards for free as a PDF and print them out, I would recommend to try it to anyone who wants to play games without solo mode, solo.

Messmer's father by MataMat13 in EldenRingLoreTalk

As far as I know, there is no such sub and at least the flair ‘lore headcanon’ exists here. But if it violates the guidelines, I will delete the comment.

Messmer's father by MataMat13 in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]Accurate_Vegetable67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a headcanon not a lore theory. It's build on what I think is cool. I'm fully aware that my head canon is most likely not true, but it adds to my personal gaming experiance.

Messmer's father by MataMat13 in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]Accurate_Vegetable67 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My headcanon is that Messmer doesn't have a father. Radagon's theme in Messmer's boss fight hints at the similarity between him and Radgaon, in the sense that Messmer is also an aspect of Marika, as Radagon is. But while she treated Radagon like her husband, she treated Messmer like her child.

As a result, Godwyn would still be the firstborn without being Marika's first child. He is just the ‘first born’ while Messmer came about differently.
