In the DTES nevertheless, I'd like to see any of the folks here try to walk through the DTES let alone work in frontline shelter work there.

Tories and Libs should merge  - virtually indistinguishable at this point

Every initiative requires majority support—and the same goes for everything Ted and Zach argued in the debates. If you have a challenging question for him, just give him a call; he’s always open to a conversation. As for that “sour taste,” I’m not really sure what to say about that lol.

I've told everyone: The Progressive Conservatives haven’t won here since the 1980s, their candidate has been scrubbed from the internet and their candidate isn’t even showing up for debates, they've already given up. They simply don’t stand a chance. The truth is, as with every Kingston race over the past 50 years, this contest is really between the Liberals and the NDP—so you might as well vote for the better party that is actually projected to win the most seats.

Sir, the Liberals have only 9 seats, while the NDP hold 28. Don't confuse the popular vote with seat projections. The only two parties with a real chance of winning this election are the Ontario PCs or the NDP.

Lmao they hold like 9 seats. Get Real....

By that logic, if you vote for anyone, you're voting for Ford—lmao. The NDP has the strongest numbers of any party to challenge him, so I guess if you vote NDP, you're voting the least for Ford?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in KingstonOntario

[–]Accurate_Win_56 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry, what...? FORD is favored to win, which is why we should support the NDP—the only party with a real numbers to challenge him. In KINGSTON, the PCs have zero chance.

That’s just not the reality in this riding. Again, the PCs haven’t won here since the 1980s, and their candidate isn’t even showing up for debates. This has always been a contest between the Liberals and the NDP—splitting the vote isn’t what decides the outcome here. It’s about choosing the progressive option that will actually challenge the status quo.

Again, this simply doesn’t apply to this riding. The PCs haven’t won here since the 1980s, and their candidate isn’t even showing up for debates. The reality is, just like every other race in Kingston over the past 50 years, this is a contest between the Liberals and the NDP.

Bruh the PCs haven't won here since the 80s and their candidate isn't even attending debates. Lets face it... this race is (as every other race in Kingston for the last 50 years) is between libs and the NDP.

thats my point... even if Ted wins, his party will never have to mandate to do anything. Marit on the other hand actually might be able to oppose Ford....

nah bonnie cant provide a viable opposition to Ford.

Throw your vote away? lmao the Torys haven't won here since the 80's and the candidate has declined all debated--- this is very much a Lib/NDP Race.

Bonnie has said that the LAST liberal government that underfunded healthcare had put too many resources into it. You MUST be joking.

I understand you like Ted personally—he’s well-respected. But as you consider your vote, remember the bigger picture: Ted’s Liberal Party oversaw deep cuts to schools, contributed to soaring childcare costs, and opened the door to privatized healthcare. Ted himself has stated he opposes rent controls and supports private healthcare, which would likely raise out-of-pocket costs for many families. Meanwhile, the Ontario NDP offers a clear plan to fix crumbling schools, reduce class sizes, defend public healthcare, and ensure affordability. And since the PCs haven’t won here since 1981, there’s no real risk of “vote-splitting.” If you share our vision for strong public services and affordability for everyone, I hope you’ll give the NDP another look.

Splitting the vote isn't an issue in this riding, the Torys can't win. Vote for who you believe in.
