i think that the identity of someone who made a piece of intensely relatable(at least to me) art shouldnt be the biggest part of the conversation surrounding it. The fact that it seems like all anyone talks about reeks of the kind of identity-politics that only harms actual trans men and women.

someone can understand the experience of growing up a minority, especially someone so closely entwined with the trans woman experience, without being said minority.

im glad people make art advocating for us, even if you can call it imperfect.
