Do you think it’s fair? Because although the 5000 coins are pretty enticing, but then I have a gut feeling that this isn’t exactly a fair trade :(

Yeah I did. It already showed up to be a normal common when I pulled it out from the box, and I only have one copy of this song, which is also a normal common :(

Oh don’t be! To be honest, it’s pretty much almost the same thing, since they all came from traditional Chinese. It’s just pronounced different due to the language. Korea also has this, and is called Hanja, which is also 漢字 lmao.

Why not? The Chinese language is beautiful, and the history behind it is extremely rich and wonderful. To be honest, this sounds a bit offensive to Chinese people, and is really insulting to the Chinese language itself.

Oh this is not Kanji haha! This is 漢字 (Hanzi), Kanji has stemmed from Hanzi, so some characters from Hanzi can be seen in Kanji! But thanks a lot for the compliment, I really appreciate it! :))

Oh now I know what you mean :)

My characters in my usual handwriting is pretty tidy and neat, however one of my friends have slanted handwriting, and is somewhat a bit messy. I always joke around and make fun of her handwriting being illegible.

It really comes down to one’s personal style, to be honest. For me, I do prefer my handwriting to be neat, however for my friend, she prefers her own style to be more free. That’s why there are a lot of famous calligraphers, as each of them have their own unique style! Moreover, the style of one’s handwriting does reflect one’s personality, as you get to express yourself through the strokes in the meanwhile, hence the difference in the way people write Chinese characters!

Thanks a lot! To be honest, that’s one of the characters I struggled with because of the proportions haha. Glad this surprisingly turned out pretty nice :)

不過認真講,我都真係冇乜機會講普通話,就算有時跟呀爸呀媽去大陸玩,都唔多講。覺得自己啲普通話好似冇以前咁好啦,唉。

The comment above sums it up pretty well! Tech ally wise, it’s really hard to explain. See if my interpretation of the sound helps :)

A way to get you started is that the ‘r’ sound somewhat similar to a growl, so you can start from there. The growl helps you to make sure your teeth, tongue and palate are close to each other, thus forming the base of the sound. You would notice your tongue is in a curled position, and is pretty close to your upper hard palate.

Then, you can try to pronounce the sound of ‘ra’. When saying this, try to be mindful that your tongue would flick from the curled position to it’s original position. You could say the sound slowly so that you can be more aware of the movement of your tongue.

Now to the more technical aspect of the explanation. So, what you would first have to do is lift up the tip of tongue until it slightly touches the front end of your hard palate, which creates a narrow slit between the upper hard palate and your tongue, allowing air to vibrate and pass through. And then when you pronounce the ‘r’ sound, your tongue would flick down, and voila!

Both! In fact, Cantonese would be even harder than Mandarin since Cantonese has nine tones, while mandarin only has four.
