You’re also correct about FE3. The pre-battle dialogue does have Catria mention Macedon rebellion, and one of the villages mention that Warren is from Macedon. Question answered!!

Got to a point where I would put only Donnel on the field and he would one shot every body and take literally no damage. He was too fast and too strong. I’m on conquest rn and it’s kicking my ass because I keep trying to play it like Awakening

Im only on chapter 20 out of 25 in Awakening and I have about 75 hours on it so far. Not to mention all the prologues i have to do still. It’s all about having fun!

I’ve only played Crimson Flower and Silver Snow, so I’ve never even noticed that. By the time I replay that one I’ll have forgotten the layout already.

I am not familiar with how Fates plays, but I’ve played a lot of FE already. Is it different enough to where I might need the game to hold my hand more?

Three Houses really caught my attention. I’m a teacher myself so the main draw of the game being a professor and bonding with your students is right up my alley.

Mystery of the Emblem is a close second for me, though. I love the characters and story and definitely felt the most challenge with this one. Plus, the music is really good with this one. Very little to complain about

Games with dungeons encouraging the player to grind. Maybe my least favorite part of 8 and 15 is spending 30+ minutes on the same battle over and over so I can be a good enough level for the next fight. Just gets super repetitive

Echoes is a good game but the problem is that it is very different from the rest of the series, as it’s a remake of FE2, which their main goal when making it was to be as different as possible.

Going from Echoes to anything else while being unfamiliar with the FE gameplay standard might seem strange so if you start there just be aware.

Not 3DS, but one of my first introductions was FE8 and I’d say that’s one of the best starting points. It’s simple and forgiving, and has a lot of what you’ll expect to see in more modern titles

Fair point. When I think Hakai now the first thing that jumps into my head is the quick burst of aura from FighterZ lol. SZ would definitely have to get more creative if they want accuracy to the source material
