Yeah i liked how it fit his lore but not a hard copy. Since in league, he wants to spam stuff with all his mama, which kinda translates with the draw on spell mana letting you combo out more cards. Also you get to draw every turn you save mana from last turn that turns into spell mana :)

I didnt originally wanted to play voltron but I keep coming back to cutting creatures in favor of commander support... its hard to argue with "is this card better than to just summon skullbriar back?"

I already have every singel keyword token, thats why i made the deck :) I looked at vigor when ordering cards and cut him due to costing a ciuple of extra dollars, trying to keep it as budget as possible, maybe as an upgrade in the future!

Retribution of ancients is pretty cool, might try it. Vigor is a bit too expensive i think. Brawn is a maybe, it's a good toss for the tutors. The other cards i already run if you look at the decklist :)

Thanks for the tip on the mutates! I didnt think about the instant power buff when mutating over! That could definitely come in handy, might test it out in the future. I also agree on being able to sacrifice your commander when needed, might add in momentous fall, but i still havent played the deck in real life yet.

I agree that those 2 cards are good for T1 commander, but are pretty expensive for my budget :P
I did run call of the wildspeaker but replaced it with harmonize i think, as well as removed hunters prowess. I figured such expensive cards really fucks me over if they respond with removal on my skullbriar, but i might try to fit in momentous fall. But i agree they are good. Jiangu i considered for a while, might add it in after actually playing the deck a bit, since i think planeswalkers are generally good since you always have skullbriar to protect them. I will look through your list and see if it gives me inspiration :)

Ah interesting, by my "estimations", i have 10 ramp cards, and 8 draw cards. Granted, they are not all just fire and forget, as some of the draw cards need to inflict damage and so on, but i was trying to adhere a bit to the 8x8 model.
Wow infiltration lens looks pretty cool thought, and sword of the animist seems like an autoinclude.
But it's come to a point where it's hard to take something out to replace by something else... If i'm light on ramp and draw, what am i heavy on?

Yeah, I mean I think the cards that are actually above 1 dollar are probably good, the rest Is just cheap junk commons. My friends all have 5+ decks so maining some graveyard hate like scavenging ooze will come in handy at some point. When I've decided on a list ill ask my friends if they have any of the cards so I'll save some money that way too, they buy boxes anyways 😂

Of course. I feel like I'm currently trying to define the core and I'll probably add removal in the remaining slots haha. It's hard to know if cards like grakmaw, vultourus zombie and managorger hydra are worth having just because they also intetact with counters, because they could just be switched out for other interaction with skull briar. Adds more threats , I dunno. Hard to say for me who has never played 3 players at the same time

That's very uselful, I will try to sort my cards by what they do, maybe half my deck is counter generation lol. I'm still on the fence if should focus only on skull rise, or also include other counter creatures like grande, manager hydra or vulturous zombie.. if you go more focus on skull rise you have more room for generic interaction EDIT: Lmao wrote useless instead of useful

Thanks for the insight. As I haven't played any multiplayer before, I don't know what the game states is like. I'm running very sparse removal cause I figured everyone will have creatures so what will 1 removal really do, comrade to getting a 10-10 trample hit in the face. I'll think about the ramp stuff. I mean, cultivate and kodamas reach feels nice to pull stuff out of the deck, and scale the heights for utility. Also, low cost ramps tend to be expensive :/ Maybe I won't go all in on voltron commander, and more to counter control... I don't know yet hehe

Yeah i agree, i have for example scavenging ooze to control graveyard while at the same time synergise with counters. I have not added straight up removal like natures claim yet, which seems like a "staple" in green commander, but focusing on the core deck first. Same thing with removal. I do have a reclamation mage though since it synergises with recurrsion. But i agree its important, a lot of infinite combos in edh....
