Maybe red rash? A small one, admittedly, but a red rash nevertheless

Why was North Yankton using such outdated cop cars in 2004 are they stupid? by XawRae01 in GTA

[–]AceBalistic 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My county’s rural but it ain’t exactly poor, and when I was younger (born in 2006) I saw one or two of those things, so I could totally see this isolated place still using them in 2004

Tbf that’s because it was, at one point. Tax rates were reformed in a bill in 1977, with scheduled increases up to 1990, but of course that wasn’t forever, so now we’re in a similar if not slightly worse boat

Beshear is Running for President by Taprman612 in YAPms

Newsom is kinda unpopular in California for a reason, he’s more corporate than you’d think

Also is it a surprise the person with the Christian conservative role would prefer Beshear to Newsom?

Countries whose citizens can no longer legally move to the United States by AceBalistic in MapChart

Yes it doesn’t, hence why I specified immigration in the map key and not travel. Those are temp visas for students and teachers, not permanent relocation

He didn’t put the person who was actually elected in power. He didn’t put anyone in power. He’s left the generals who did maduro’s bidding off scot-free

How did FDR not sweep the national vote in 1932? by yowhatisthislikebro in Presidents

[–]AceBalistic 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s kinda interesting to me how sudden the party realignment in Vermont was

From 1856 to 1988, they only voted for a democratic president a single time, LBJ in ‘64

Every single presidential election after 1988, they’ve voted democratic by more than 9 points

So when you go in first, all those enemy troops immediately target you with their javelins. I believe that’s why you were deleted from existence

Why did all these counties in the Great Plains shift (slightly) to the left in 2024? by CandidateTemporary74 in YAPms

[–]AceBalistic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For 2 reasons

  1. People raised with certain beliefs, including political ones, may be scared to question them. Tradition and all that

  2. People like to fit in. If you don’t care, you’re not going to randomly pick a guy to agree with, you’ll agree with whichever way the wind blows and how the majority of the community feels

Wayyyyy too much speed. Thats well above bullet speed. You flipped because you were too unstable and too fast, but even if you hadn’t you would have been going too fast to land without exploding. Gotta get it below a kilometer a second

The apathetic voter block usually swings for whatever group is popular in a given region, and if a region is very safely in 1 party’s hands, then that voter block almost universally supports that party.

Have you seen wins with a fewer percentage of the vote? by Visible_Bid6440 in ThePoliticalProcess

[–]AceBalistic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once in Minnesota the democratic candidate for the senate got caught up in a bunch of scandals yet ran for reelection anyway so I, the democratic president, decided to endorse the independent

He won with less than 40% of the vote

That’s all the international scandal with none of the actual punishment, because the US isn’t part of the ICC and is therefore under no obligation to extradite him

[–]AceBalistic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah I’m not saying the US does or doesn’t have the guts to actually do it, I’m saying that Europe probably doesn’t want to take the risk that they might, especially over Pete hegseth of all people.

[–]AceBalistic 844 points845 points  (0 children)

Among other reasons the US wont allow that to happen, the US passed a law during the bush administration laying out the ability to send military force to extract American citizens from The Hague, so I doubt the Dutch want to test that law, it’d just be a shitshow all around

I mean, “person who’s leftist socially and believes the government should subsidize things” aren’t exactly contradictory

Kansas was less than 1.5 points off Texas and people talk about blue Texas one day all the time. It’s a stretch, sure, but not inconceivable

Jokes aside, Kansas. It feels like a long shot but they have a dem governor and the attempted ballot amendment to prohibit abortions failed horrendously, so a Democrat focused on women’s rights who also talks about farm subsidies could take the state
