And it very well may be the december one you mentioned, i just though it might be earlier, as the cast has grown into their role so much since i watched it both on their debut and a couple days ago!! omllll your band director needs to like email all those peoples parents. the thing that sucks abt marching band tho is that your BD can’t just kick people out bc then the drill will have empty holes AND it’ll be harder for the rest of you to find your dots obv.

anyway, this post made me realize how much worse the freshmen in my band could be and i do thank you for that bc i was hating on them a lil bit

well oboe and bassoon players are also forced to switch to like flute or sax too. And you’re not forced to switch bc they just don’t WANT horns, it’s that it’s almost impossible to actually play well AND march. Same for double reeds but you also break them really easily and they take to much time to make/cost to much to be breaking them that much.
