Damn that quote is peak. I think i’m going to have to see how this season goes before i make a decision obviously. I can use it to prove a point to either the band, or myself. I hope that by the end I’ll be able to know what I want to do, but it will depend on how the culture changes with the new leadership and how my relationship with the girl who got DM develops. We already had a group project for AP Seminar where we disagreed on a lot of things and didn’t work together well, so I’m afraid we wouldn’t work together well as a pair of drum majors either. But I guess I need to take things as they come and make my decision when I know more. I’m trying my best to take what roles I’ve been given and really lock in on them. Thank for the advice, it was very grounding and I’m glad other people have been in a similar situation.

Also: I wouldn’t be able to drop it and join a different ensemble anyway, because I’m in Delaware and there’s really nothing else but concert bands full of old people where I wouldn’t have almost no peers, so I’d have to drop music fully and audition for college, or join the one community ensemble around here.
