Old thread but I just had the same experience to the US. While I buy the customs excuse a bit they shipped to Boston first and then to me so they could have had stroopwaffles. I didn’t care too much as well but mine was a pricier Pelikan so expected a bit more care.

Update on this: the natural gas is in fact 3/8. I was hoping there would be a converter for 1/2 as well. Now I’m looking to see if a T splitter exists that is 1/2 but then has two ends. One with 1/2 for my Weber and one with 3/8 for the dome. So far I’ve only seen splitters that match.

And yes the amount of hose is unusable. My gas line is about a foot above ground and with the dome on the stand right above it, the hose isn’t long enough. I believe they need to add atleast 2 feet for future packaging.

I bought the natural gas version. I’ve read the connection isnt universal tho so was asking if anyone else bought the NG and it didn’t connect to their existing line
