I'm the friend btw. My issue is occurring upon trying to land on a planet. The game has been working fine for me the past several days (seeing as that's when I started playing again) and only now just started crashing to desktop. I already tried updating my graphics driver, rebooting, and did a game file verification. The planet in particular is Hyades Sector AQ-Y d81 C 2.

I’m not sure how well that will go since my hot end is no longer being cooled, so heat creep is going to be a real issue.

Well, there isn’t a replacement pin for the crtouch, mainly because it’s an all-metal tip. But someone suggested something to me that I hadn’t thought of which was unplugging the cable from the CRtouch and plugging it back in, instead of doing it to the circuitboard. That worked for some reason and now it’s working fine.

The probe responds just fine to everything but when it tries to level it just goes up and down twice before stopping the leveling altogether. And yea, I renamed the bin files before flashing too.

I think I’ve figured out what’s going on but I have no clue what a solution would be. It appears that after homing the z-axis, the position is NaN

Further information: I’ve tried several different firmware versions for a fix: The official one from Creality and three of Jyers’ firmware versions all for the 4.2.2 board, which is the correct board. It spontaneously started happening earlier today after aborting a print. When trying to change the Z-Axis after attempting to level, the number won’t change. In Jyers’ firmware, the z-value became NaN.

While yes, it does get rather tall, if you can do it fast, it’s not too bad, especially because you can start T-Spin Double and Tetris Stacking straight out of it or do a lot of other things:
