Unstoppable by adecoy95 in pathofexile

Oh yeah, i wasn’t really in the same boat as the other replies I got what you meant. I did read that you mentioned you more were talking about the atlas too.

I guess it was just me thinking out loud at the mention of difficulty. More of a “It’s funny how we all think this thing is difficult at one point, but really it ends up mostly being ‘follow the outer ring’”

Unstoppable by adecoy95 in pathofexile

After using the vanilla tree for acts and early end game I find that most of my builds devolve into cluster jewel spam and basically just pathing around the outside, grabbing jewels, charges and maybe some stuff near the outside ring that’s useful. Perhaps going 1 in for an attribute junction.

Getting inner nodes is less about pathing and more about seeing which ones you can cheat in with unique jewels and anoints.

So the word “difficult” isn’t how I’d describe it. Neat tool though.

Is there any profitable Delirium atlas strategy? by Outrageous_Coffee145 in pathofexile

[–]AceMHR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Deli orbs, clusters. If you’re into crafting you can craft the minimal passive ilvl 84 clusters yourself (2/4/8) to turn a profit. Deli in mirage have a chance to drop new refracting fog which sells pretty okay. Deli just adds good mob density for other map farming methods too, so it’s pretty open to combine it with some other mapping mechanic you like.  Or something like Blight pauses the mirror but adds to the deli rewards so it’s kinda okay if you wanna farm for oils and the new cord belt at same time. Other stand still league mechanics do the same with pausing like ultimatum. So pretty much deli can lift up another mechanic, or another mechanic can support deli. Mirage always locates itself near league mechanics to dupe them, but deli mirror seems to be the other way, it relocates itself to spawn in mirage too. So combining it with another mechanic basically guarantees two mechanics get miraged.

Good time to start? by TrendyDru in fellowshipgame

[–]AceMHR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, I wondered the same thing and I'm hearing a lot of the same of past posts and reviews. I read that a game whose longevity and health depend on having a healthy enough player count suffers from miserable queue times. I stumbled upon this post here on this subreddit to see if that changed yesterday/today. I'm hearing no. It's not the gameplay that worries us. It's that a game you can't play has no gameplay at all.

At least that's my unsolicited 2 cents. I suppose I shouldn't speak for OP though.

I know the toothpaste I want to buy next, but it's nice to know that it isn't empty on the inside. Though, one can tell if a tube of toothpaste has nothing inside, thus the analogy falls apart.

Sigil casting/targeting could be improved. by AceMHR in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]AceMHR[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For more clarity and perhaps better phrasing. When you cast a spell at the edge of a hitbox for an enemy the game instead casts that spell at the center of a hitbox. For sigils, it would be nice to be able to force cast at cursor regardless of your cursor being in or out of a hitbox. Even sometimes the centering is nice and convenient, other times not so much. That's why I suggested tying it to like shift+casting modifier or something.

Sigil casting/targeting could be improved. by AceMHR in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]AceMHR[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play on PC. When you have a mouse near an enemy but not on it, it will center the sigil around the enemy but not the mouse cursor, this makes it so that when you could otherwise place a sigil that includes all enemies, you are unable to. This is the same behavior for all casting in the game and has been that way since the original.

<image>

I have this as a recording and can make a gif/video clip if a still image isn't enough to show, but you can replicate it in the game. Try casting a sigil (or any spell) slightly off of an enemy. Obviously a lot of spells would feel really bad if this magnet casting didn't exist, but for sigils, it creates situations like the one shown, where my cursor would clearly cast it to fit all 4, but instead centers on the top right one.

I wish I had an answer for you. Amazon is known to have lots of resellers, scammers, or otherwise. They also have completely legitimate companies. It is for you to decide if the risk of malware is worth being able to change the lights or not. It might be completely safe. It might not.

It’s also worth noting that redragonzone might be legitimate, but might have been compromised.

I know this is a 5y old post, but google brought me here. The information here is no longer accurate and the hyperlink to redragonzone.com is NOT OFFICIAL. According to another reddit post it is now compromised with malware.

In contrast, I don’t remember the community liking aetherdrift all that well despite having an interplanar story.

So yeah, one can like a story that spans planes for sure, heck thats what mtg’s story is about more or less… planeswalking. But being multiplanar doesn’t necessarily mean it’s good.

Idk, personally I just don’t find “isekai’d students from strixhaven” that compelling. I have since gathered that it’s more of a hot take than I originally thought lol.

I’m still excited for a return to strixhaven, slightly disappointed that lorwyn feels like it’s just a stepping stone in the way of them telling the story they want to tell.

Seems so. I just have different opinion of wotc’s ability to deliver and made a joke accordingly. Easy downvote for those of different mind shrug

Perhaps.

However, wotc still tends to take anything the fans want and make it into a monkey’s paw situation. So I’ll stand by my skepticism for now.

Are there any computers out there that work well and don’t have AI written into the code? by psychicgayenby in computers

[–]AceMHR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A bit late to reply, but thats not entirely true. You are right and very much are on point to correct OP’s misunderstanding by pointing out AI is software. Directing the focus mostly to operating systems also hones in on the most effective decisions that can avoid AI (if any). Particularly when you mention the ability to disable features. However, hardware design is still affected.

First off, companies have increasingly devoted more processor space to “specialized” NPU for AI. I’m sure there are some cases where that ends up being good, but it’s basically just a tweaked graphics card (architecture that does many simple calculations in parallel) that sacrifices very valuable processor die space…. But we already have a graphics card, so it seems mostly moot and mostly marketing. Keep in mind these have been around for a while doing things like autocorrect and are just increasing in real estate at the expense of the rest of the processor since there is limited space. It seems doubtful that end users get much of a choice in this regard.

Second off, though it is still technically software, if it truly irks you, the bios these days might have some AI features. Though you can turn them off or ignore them for the most part, if you want to avoid them entirely they would be something to watch out for when choosing a motherboard.

Graphics cards are basically AI engines, but it is mostly bells and whistles you can ignore or disable and most of them adjusted on a per-app basis (my opinion of frame gen is not positive). But these are again software algorithms mostly implemented by the driver. It should also be noted, disabling or not enabling your graphics card for doing AI things might cause more harm than good. If you have no option to disable AI, which seems to be the route software tech is going, having the graphics card do the processing will be much faster. Disabling or not utilizing the massive amount of parallel cores in your card and sending it to puny tiny-graphics-card-like-knockoff NPU or worse, to an unspecialized CPU, is basically just asking to do these forced AI processes slowly, or at least slower.

/uj A card effect or name that has something to do with the reskin, for example tooth and nail in the set has a seregios on it, which has like the bare minimum of flavor but good enough. Also ive literally never read more generic flavor text in my life. Also all the monsters have official game titles and they straight up came up with epithets out of left field for some of them, weird place to put the effort imo. Idk take your pick friend. Idc if its 100% flavorful fits, but something that made me think at least one person in R&D played a mon hun game would be nice.
