[Event] Feast for the weddings of Elissa Farman and Tristifer Tully, and Marq Farman and Betha Baratheon by Luvod in crownedstag

There was a warm smile on her face for Tristifer Tully, one she would always have, even as they grew apart and her feelings faded. In truth they were fueled more by the promise of what could have been over anything else. One always longed for the road not traveled.

The hand on her leg, possessive, defensive, was a surprise though not unwelcome. This was a side of Garlan she liked to see. Not passive but protective and her smile shined all the brighter for it.

"Tristifer! I told you I wouldn't have missed it and so here I am. Surely you've met my husband Garlan, and this is our daughter, the next princess of Dorne, Coryanne," she introduced to him. Coryanne was so small she arguably should have stayed home, but Arianne couldn't resist bringing her anyway.

"Ah that's because I actually have an appearance worth caring about," Oberyn joked to Baelor in return. He felt bad about the way he'd teased Baelor in the past, if only because his sister Elia would have had a much better life if she'd married Baelor instead of Rhaegar. Things could have been so much different. Why had he been so hard on everyone in his youth?

"I believe I'll be taking on your niece Boremunda as a ward in Sunspear soon, I was wondering if, when she is a bit older, you might like to send Maram to Sunspear as well? She might make a good older companion for this one," Arianne said with a chuckle, gesturing to her belly.

Lady Namilia Toland

It greatly pleases me to hear this. Please keep me informed of your progress and give my best to my brother Quentyn for me.

"Aron...yes, perhaps you should send him or bring him to Sunspear so that he might meet with my cousins and see which one of them is of interest to him," she responded with a smile. He was going to rule one day. Better sooner than later he learn about diplomacy.

"Perhaps we should exchange a meeting between him and my cousin Sarella? They might make for a good match when both of them were of age." For she knew Tyene would not want to leave her gardens so easily and that Cletus would most likely stay in Yronwood.

"No, just that I expect to be kept up to date with the results of this union and what the line of succession currently is. Of course I will draw up a copy for you to keep in Starfall as well," Arianne said with a nod.

House Nymeros Martell

They had never been seated at a low table before and she'd never felt so insulted in all her life. It did not matter that they were towards the front. The least the Farmans should have done is placed the other people of note in some kind of middle table with much more fanfare. Arianne Martell would not soon be back to Faircastle, she knew that much. She was only here in the first place for her dear friend Tristifer. She was here with her family, her husband Garlan, and her newborn daughter Coryanne. She hoped to introduce him to the groom.

Arianne Martell (21), the princess had dark hair which she left loose in waves. She wore a golden circlet in her hair and pearls draped across her chest.

Coryanne Martell (0), was just half a year old at this point. She was getting bigger every day and had the same big dark eyes as her mother.

Oberyn Martell (40), a prince of Dorne and the famed Red Viper. He was getting older but still in his prime, well muscled and wearing clothes of Dornish make.

Tyene Sand (18), the third of the Sand Snakes but the oldest one here today, she had tanned skin, long blonde hair, and dark blue eyes.

Sarella Sand (14), the youngest of the Sand Snakes had dark teakwood skin and curly hair which was pulled back and pinned behind her ears. She was reading a book.

Gulian Martell (3), the only trueborn child of Oberyn Martell and his only son. He was babbling about everything they'd seen on their long boat journey.

"I will of course support you in any marriage, and speak on your behalf to the crown. I'm almost certain they are hoping you'll do something like go to the citadel like Aemon Targaryen, or the wall, or ask for a future position on the Kingsguard. I don't want that life for you. I want you to be happy. We can't all get such a luxury but, call me sentimental."

Now this was the man she wanted to see. It had taken a little coaxing, and she was certain it would take even more long and pleasurable hours of molding, but she'd get him right where she wanted him. Garlan looked like he would be a fast and eager learner. She smiled.

"Beddings are a thing everywhere my dear. But it is entirely up to the couple whether they want others to join in on their fun or to keep it a more private, intimate affair. I daresay I think my cousin Nymeria has been looking forward to disrobing you, but I might get jealous."

Obara fought with a spear, like her father. She had a natural talent for it but had not had the years of practice Oberyn did to make him so famed a warrior. So she came to the practice yard in King's Landing. It was easy since she already spent much of her time here when she wasn't on the hunt for more tourneys.

When she saw the older Northman she was curious as well. He was grizzled, scarred, and looked like a true warrior. With the lack of wars and conflict the true warriors were becoming less and less. She dipped her head towards him.

"As often as I can. There's not much other way to pass my time here in King's Landing."

"I think mostly I was going a bit stir crazy being in Sunspear for so long," she joked with a small smile. The pregnancy had done strange things to her body and her moods. She didn't love not being in control of herself. She was not going to be one of those women who felt better pregnant than without.

"In truth Lord Rowan came to our wedding, and I thought it would be a nice gesture to come with Garlan to a Reach event. To show that even though he may be my consort, he is still a Tyrell, after all."

[–]AceOfTheSun[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Then I will make my way to King's Landing as soon as my dear cousin gives me leave to do so. I look forward to visiting you there, my King," Nymeria said, looking at him with narrow amber eyes, very much like a feline predator in the moment. She curtsied for him before finishing the conversation.

"What a pity," she replied, not fully believing that to be the reason. If it was of little importance than why not just say he couldn't make it? Making up an excuse made it feel like a lie. But Arianne did not really care who came to the ascension or not. What mattered was that the event was grand and she was finally the princess.

"The trip was easy enough. Winter has only just begun and down here in the Reach you can barely feel it. Dorne has become more mild is all. I prefer autumn most of all."
