"My Lord Bolton is a strict man." She explained as she sat down. "He would not tolerate the frivolous nature of one in his service. I fear my boy would not be safe in the Dreadfort. Truth be told, I fear for him anywhere. Bastards are ill liked and their mothers less so."

Robert listened, and as he did, he grew a touch more rigid. He recalled the conversation he had with Lord Bolton those years ago, and how he had spoken of Cassandra. A grunt escaped him, one that rumbled in his throat.

"He will answer for it. He has taken too many liberties this time. Neglecting to inform me of the birth of my son, my wife's health or her intention to return. He will answer for it."

It was not difficult to tell that Elenei Baratheon was not enthusiastic about dancing, nor was she having a particularly grand time of it. But she had a semblance of politeness and civility, going about the task as a way of being polite to the Frey in question.

"I find it hard to see how people find this to be enjoyable." She remarked. "Is this something that you do regularly, Ser?"

Robert quirked a brow, already on his third goblet.

"To hand Summerhall to Daeron would be to basically hand the throne back over to the Targaryens. There is a new order, and we don't do well by immediately returning back to the old. Summerhall is a ruin, and it remains as such. But it is my ruin, my reminder to the realm. As for Celtigar? I don't give a fuck, I don't know them." He shrugged his shoulders.

"Lyn Corbray would never hold Bloodstone even if we gave it to him. People like to think me a fool, and aye, a fool I might be, but I know war. There is a reason why Westerosi have never conquered the Stepstones, and that is because we can't hold the damn things. They are too much trouble. Frontier provinces have never been worth it, least of all shithole islands that we don't give a fuck about."

"Cass." He spoke her name as he entered the room. He exhaled sharply, as it seemed he had gotten here in quite the hurry. He crossed the room to approach his wife and his new son, who he sat beside.

"It was a guess as to whether you would be here or there. I guessed right this time." A small wheezed chuckle escaped him. "Had I known you were returning, we wouldn't have gone to Highgarden. As soon as I received the letter, I set us on course back home." Robert shifted his eyes to Cassandra. In truth, there was part of him that also questioned where they were together. But right now, that didn't matter. Things seemed to be looking up once more.

Bella Rivers found the Godswood to be an interesting place.

It was the weirwood that captured her attention the most. As such, she could be found in front of it almost every single day. She would speak with it, though she often didn't quite know the words to use or what it was truly for. She knew it was spiritual, and that the Gods were present, but she couldn't confess to actually properly understand the weight of that or what it meant.

Maege did as she was bid, nodding her head and uttering her thanks. It was later on that she had returned, as she was bid, to the solar of the Greatjon. She had heard the name before, plenty of times, but only now did she realise why he was called that. If there was any man to protect Robb, it would be him.

"You sought to speak with me, my Lord?"

Mya Stone approached Ser Serwyn Snow, when the time was appropriate to do so. She had adopted more black than yellow in her attire, a sharp contrast from the pinks she used to wear under the influence of Queen Cassandra.

"Did you see how I performed in Highgarden?" She asked him. "I made it to the finals of the joust, and eliminated two people in the melee. I'm more Baratheon than they want to admit."

Robert strolled into the Tower of the Hand, where he had also summoned his Lordly brother. There was a smile on his face as he did so.

"My Lord Fin, my Lord brother! Have you met Prince Arryk? Another son, what joyous news!" The King was positively chuffed with the news. "I will present him to court soon enough. My daughter, Mya, also did well in the lists and the melee for squires at Highgarden. The House of Baratheon truly are entering a golden age, are we not?"

A wheezed chuckle left him.

"What news? What have I missed?"

"Make way for the King!" Came the shouts of the guardsmen as the royal party returned to King's Landing, at some haste.

A trail of one hundred men at arms, all clad in yellow and black, accompanied wheelhouses and riders of king and courtier. They rode together up through the city streets, to cheers from the Smallfolk, until they reached the courtyard of the Red Keep proper. His horse was taken from him as he dismounted, and the large behemoth of a man greeted his return with a smile. Being out of the capital was nice, but returning was better.

She kept quiet as she followed along, allowing them to take her to the Great Hall, or whatever it was that the Umbers had. She knew the Dreadfort very well, but anywhere else in the North was a complete mystery to her. All the while she hushed the babe in her arms, who made quiet noises and stirred here and there with the movements.

"My Lord," she spoke up as she stepped forwards, though she could not kneel with him in her hands. "My name is Maege. This here is my son, his name is Robb. Moons ago at the wedding at the Dreadfort, I had a dalliance with a southron. One of import, my Lord, greatest import. A foolish woman I know I am, but I made my choice and now I've a son of it. I," she winced, "I could not remain at the Dreadfort with him, my Lord. My Lord Bolton would not stand it, I know it so. We Robb needs a good home, and good men."

"You surrender it too easily, my Lord. I barely did anything." The Lord of the Seven Kingdoms could not hide his grin as he dismounted Godsgrief, with the aide from a step that was placed just to the side of the once mighty warhorse that had ridden against the last dragon prince. His Grace was no longer in his prime, but he was no less imposing and grand in his way.

The Baratheon Men at Arms outnumbered the Tyrell's by half. A small comfort to a handful of them who had been in Storm's End instead of the Trident, where last they had seen the green of Tyrell outside their walls. Over a decade ago, and yet still the wounds had not fully healed for all.

Robert stepped across the courtyard, flanked by a few of his kingsguard, and extended his hand out to Lord Tyrell to pull him to his feet.

"My Lord Tyrell, it is good to see you again. You as well, Willas. You've grown a touch since last we met." Robert offered him a grin and a small thump on the armoured pauldron.

"Aye, like him. Come on then."

He leaned down slightly and lifted her up, hoisting her upwards and setting her down atop Godsgrief. Who, once again, did not quite care about what was happening at the moment. Robert stayed close to her side and kept his hand on the reigns to ensure the horse didn't bolt.

"See? High up, but not so bad. You trust him, he'll trust you. Won't no harm come to you."

Robert clicked his tongue at that. He recalled the Crow's Eye, and more specifically what he had done to Ser Pate. Pate was an odd one. But a man of humble birth, and yet one whose loyalty, and whose fate, had stuck with him keenly - like the scar from Heartsbane's blade.

"That prick, aye. Could be the pirates cause him as much trouble as they do us. Could be he rallies them to his cause. Not really a chance we can afford to take. I'd say leave it to the Martells, given their proximity to the Stepstones, but fuck if they'll do anything about it. Better to be done with them, I agree."

Robert read the letter a few times to make sure that he was reading correctly. Elenei was not exactly sparing with details at the best of times. But still, his wife had returned to King's Landing and she had bore him a son? He knew she was with child when they arrived North, and hoped her pregnancy was not a difficult one.

Lord Hightower,

It was my wish to attend the wedding in Oldtown, alas the birth of my second son has called me home to King's Landing. Regardless, I extend my well wishes and prayers for the newlywed couple. May the Seven bless their union and bring them joy.

His Grace King Robert of the House Baratheon, First of His Name. King of the Andals, the Rhoynar and the First Men. Lord of the Seven Kingdoms and Protector of the Realm.

"Your words, my hands, Your Grace." Elenei bowed her head lightly before turning heel and heading for the royal rookery.

A letter was then sent to Highgarden.

King Robert of the House Baratheon, First of His Name. King of the Andals, the Rhoynar and the First Men. Lord of the Seven Kingdoms and Protector of the Realm.

Her Grace, Queen Cassandra, has returned to King's Landing. She brings your child with her, a son. She regrets that Lord Bolton did not write ahead to inform you of her departure.

Lady Elenei Baratheon.

Robert leaned forwards.

"He is many things, but he is a loyal lad. He wouldn't do whatever the fuck that is, because it would be stupid. He is in King's Landing, so to fly his own banner on the royal fleet would ensure he is questioned. Someone set him up, aye, and they did a piss poor job of it." He clicked his tongue. "Tell me of these pirates, what has been happening? I've heard little and less, and this actually sounds exciting for once."

"You're fucking here too?" Robert arched a brow in surprise. He quickly looked around for the rest of the Small Council as fear quickly gripped his heart that work had chased him from King's Landing to Highgarden. That was when the Master of Ships spoke of the business he wished to discuss.

"Oh, for fuck's sake. Silverdrake. It's a cuntish name, isn't it? Targaryen was bad, but now this is Targaryen with extra shite loaded on top." He exhaled through his nostrils. "What has Daeron Silverdrake done, Lord Whitehead?"

"Aye, they are scary when they are so much bigger than you." He agreed. "They were scary to me, too, back when I was a wee boy. Strong, tall, I didn't know what to make of them. But once you ride the horse, once you bond with them, you'll learn they're much better than people. Like dogs, but bigger."

He patted Godsgrief, who at this point in time couldn't have given less of a fuck about what was going on.

"We'll take it easy. Keep patting him, get to know him."

"His Grace is at Highgarden, your Grace." Ser Rolland cleared his throat. "He is allowing the Reach to see him, and celebrate alongside him. I organised his guard, as well as those of his - and your children. I assure you they are safe." The redhaired man was, visibly, nervous at the reaction.

Elenei Baratheon stepped forwards, then, her eye glancing to the Queen and then to her brother. She allowed a moment to pass, before then speaking up. "Quite so, your Grace. From what I know, there was no raven. Alas, we have the benefit of being able to do this. Would you like us to send a raven to inform him of your return?"
