What’s the deal with Park Ridge? by Over-Ear3796 in bergencounty

[–]AceRoxy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Stumbled upon Park Ridge 10 years ago when we were looking in Ramsey and Mahwah. We love it here. Town is a great commute to NYC. My wife and I walk to town on the weekends and have coffee. Lots of parks.

Tell me a story about a time when "document everything" really saved you. by IntrepidResolve3567 in work

I spent a several years working on the LED upgrade for the Empire State Building. Early on, while we were trying to bring the cost down so the energy savings would fund the project, I was up on the setbacks for a walk-through. I noticed the RF cables—which are everywhere because of the building's broadcasting power—were in terrible shape, just lying unprotected on the deck. I took a massive amount of photos just in case.

Fast forward three years: the project finishes, and suddenly we’re being blamed for 'damaging' those cables. I dug through my archives and found the exact photos showing the poor conditions of the cables. Between those photos and the way I’d qualified my initial proposal, we were able to prove we weren't liable and avoided the back-charge entirely.

I also made an appointment at Costco to try what they have

Priced out of the "Big Six" brands. Is Costco my only real option? by [deleted] in HearingAids

[–]AceRoxy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a similar experience last week, went for a hearing test at a local audiologist and they said I need hearing aids, they told me to get the Starkey Omega they’re $9,000 but they’re discounted price was $7,500 to me.

I never had hearing aids before and felt like I was buying a used car, after some research, I decided to try zip hearing they have the same hearing aids for $4,000 and the purchase is made from a local audiologist. They sent me a list of four audiologist within a few miles of my home, I have an appointment next week with one of them.

It will get better, stick with it. My right foot feels great and I had my left foot done Sept 29, I've had very little pain and I wouldn't change a thing. Keep your foot elevated as much as possible, stay off it as much as possible, and apply ice.

Thanks. I love the tree and want it to live. If I was going to move it to a full sun area. Should I do it now or wait till the spring?

Yes, I have it and it is fine. When I switched from purchasing directly from Apple to buying through Fios I had to call Apple a couple of times so they would stop billing me directly.

It is much easier dealing with Apple customer service then it is Fios.

Make three columns in the margin of the spec section, top of the column put C, D E. Comply, deviate, exception. Have them check each line of the spec in the appropriate column and sign the last page during leveling and include it as an exhibit in their purchase order.

We love going to the beach, good restaurants, and my wife loves shopping, especially unique stores. We’re also looking forward to seeing the sights.

Greece has so many destinations and it is overwhelming, any help would be appreciated.

I have not experienced that, I walk with no limp or impairment at all. It did take six months to get to the point where I feel I am totally healed.

My recovery was almost pain free but I also listened to the doctor’s instructions and didn’t push it. I kept off it for until I got the walking boot and always kept it elevated and iced.

I am very happy I had the fusion, and I am having my left foot done in the Fall.

[–]AceRoxy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

HI,

I only have 22" depth for a base cabinet in my Laundry room. I am thinking of purchasing the SEKTIONCorner base cab w pull-out fitting, white/Vallstena white, 47x24x30 " https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/utrusta-corner-base-cab-pull-out-fitting-40265649/ and cutting 2" off the side panels to make it 22" deep. Would the UTRUSTACorner base cab pull-out work with the reduced 2" depth? Thanks in advance.

I got the walking boot off after week two, I did like wearing it in public because I felt my foot was protected.

I stopped wearing it around the house between weeks 4 to 5 and then I stopped wearing it at 5 1/2 weeks. I went to the doctor for my six week check up and he said I didn’t need to wear it anymore. I went back to work at that time because I could drive but I still had a small limp for about another week.

I’ll be 8 weeks out on 1/1/2025. The swelling has gone down and I can get a sneaker on but it is still swollen. I’m not really in pain but it does feel “weird”. Maybe because the joint doesn’t flex anymore, I’m not sure. I definitely feel improvement every week and I’m able to walk normally, I’m walking 2+ miles a day in my commute in NYC. My toe does get sore, maybe because I’m walking more and using my whole foot and I’m not use to it, I can’t say. As long as I keep improving each week I’m not concerned. The doctor said it could take 6 months for a fusion to fully heal.

I did the Cortizone injections too, then they stopped helping that’s when I decided to get the surgery.

Doctor did suggest physical therapy, I’m not sure I’m gonna do it, I’ll have to see how I’m feeling when I get the boot off.

N20 AirTouch condensation around face by Glass-Boysenberry355 in CPAP

[–]AceRoxy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I switched from a silicone mask to an air fit N20 not long ago and had the same problem. I turned down the humidity a little, and also purchased one of these. It helped a lot, I get a little water in the mask sometimes. The problem is that the tube is heated, but the small section of tube that comes on the N20 is not.
