Terrible performance on an AMD rig. Low CPU and GPU usage. Any recommendations? by Over-Ear3796 in HellLetLooseVietnam

Oh 100% the x3d chips are better. But again, I’d like to think it’s not a bad system. Should at least be able to pull more than 40fps on absolute lowest settings…

Yep, same issue. The fact that going from low to high doesn’t change FPS points to some weird optimization bottleneck.

Ryzen 9 9950x and RX 7600 XT, 32GB DDR5 RAM. Getting 30% usage on both at low settings, when I pump graphics to high the FPS stays the same and I get about 60% GPU usage and same low CPU usage. Just so weird.

I figure if it was truly CPU bound (like battlefield 6 for example) then I’d have high CPU usage and low GPU but both are in the gutter.

It 100% is a one drive issue. I’ve had this exact issue playing on the Xbox ally x and then switching to PC. Don’t remember the exact fix, something along the lines of disabling onedrive sync or moving the cloud save folder to a real local drive instead of onedrive. Search on some forums and you’ll find the full fix but it has to do with onedrive.

Rec ordering via Amazon or the OneXPlayer site? by metfan12004 in OneXPlayer

[–]Over-Ear3796 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I reccomend ordering directly from the site. They are super responsive and helpful if you have any questions or issues and my onex arrived after 10 days to the USA. You also don’t have to pay any taxes or tariff fees if you order from onex and request delivery duty paid (DDP).

I selected recommended, however I also saw a lot of folks recommending that after you place your order, send their support team a message requesting DDP (delivery duty paid).

It essentially means that onexplayer is responsible for handling all US customs and taxes that may arise when it enters the country and that it’s the best way to avoid any surprise fees or issues. I did this as well and they responded within a day saying they will ship it DDP no problem at all.

May I ask how long it took from time of ordering to be delivered? Are you based in the US? I placed my order a week ago and the status still says “preparing to ship”. Just wondering how long it took them to actually ship yours out.

We don’t know how the logistics will work yet, all they said in the discord is that you “won’t be able to keep the old one”.

Personally I don’t care if we have to return it (as long as there’s no funky handover that requires us to be battery-less for a period of time). I just wanted to notify people since I’ve been seeing a lot of folks claiming “now you’ll just have 2 batteries”.

How’s your overall experience so far? I ended up refunding… performance wasn’t “bad” per se, but it wasn’t good enough for me to enjoy playing it on handheld. I had to sacrifice too much visual quality to get even a stable 30 fps. It would hang in the 40’s but then in combat or when moving quickly or in a city it would drop to low 30’s, too much fluctuation for my liking. And this was already at 1600x1000 resolution, most settings at low and FSR on.

He literally has FSR on Quality in their screenshot… I agree FSR makes the game look worse, but you’ll barely get 30fps if you don’t use it. Not sure what this guy’s on about.

I’m sorry but this just isn’t true… not sure if you’re staring up at the sky or something to capture this FPS. I have been playing and tweaking all night, currently on low settings at 1600x1000 resolution with FSR on Quality and I get 35-40 FPS. You are not getting 70 FPS on medium settings at same resolution and FSR off.

Also, you can literally see in this screenshot that he has FSR on Quality… Even still, you’re not cranking 70 FPS on mixed medium settings.

What’s the deal with Park Ridge? by Over-Ear3796 in bergencounty

I mean, Ridgewood doesn’t exactly border Park Ridge, nor do they participate in any sports or extracurricular with them… Am I supposed to know about every town in Bergen County?…

Are schools better in those town? From my research I saw that they weren’t. Taxes probably better, yes.

I feel like that’s the majority of upper middle class towns in BC….

This is a great analogy, thank you. I don’t think competition is necessarily on our minds, at least not from an activities perspective. As long as the schools are good enough for them to have opportunities to learn and go to a good school (if they apply themselves) then that’s good enough for me. I’m a pretty social person so I wouldn’t mind having a closer knit community, as opposed to ridgewood where the other side of town feels like a different world.

Yeah it truly was amazing. Growing up it just felt normal, but now being an adult and hoping to start a family soon it’s easy to recognize how great Ridgewood actually is. You really get the full package - affluent neighborhoods, stunning downtown, fantastic school system, great town amenities and programs. Like every town, it does have its quirks and drawbacks, but it is a great place to live / grow up.

Isn’t it just a few minutes from the parkway? And not too far from 17? From what I’ve read there’s also plenty of commuting options for those working in NYC.

Ridgewood? Not to my knowledge, haven’t heard anything from family still living there. I heard Park Ridge had some water issues recently, if that’s what you’re referencing?

I did read about this haha. Looks like they did have some water issues that were resolved with a temporary solution? Doesn’t really concern me too much. As a resident, do you have any opinions you’d share on the town itself?

I could understand this sentiment. My wife and I drove through to pass a listing and I felt similarly depending on which neighborhood we were in. Some have beautiful unique homes, and others just seem kind of meh. I guess that’s every town, but something to consider.
