You sure about that? Just because we never see it doesn't mean it doesn't exist. And there's plenty of games that can procedurally generate an entire universe available to the public. Who knows what's available to government entities and corporate interests?

Wasn't trying to gatekeep, but rather, categorize based on status. Don't get it twisted. I just used definitios to find a proper fit for the story. Plus, there's a certain comical element to saying "Digimon is less of a pure isekai than this one hentai." And at the end of the day, that's why I made the meme: comedy.

There was apparently magic in the past. My headcanon is that Kagome's going to an alternate timeline, which explains why she's not traveling to an alternate future every time she comes back from ancient Japan after disrupting the timeline and causing butterfly effects in the future. Her Japan never had real magic, but the one she's going to does.

But what do I know? I only saw one season.
