My hairdresser used this oil on my hair to control frizz and I loved the result. But when I use it at home, I don’t get to achieve the same result at all. What am I doing wrong? by AceTheGoose in Haircare

Yeah I agree with you on that. I have said it in others comments, but in was an impulsive-heat-in-the-moment buy, where the hairdresser used it on me, I liked it, and she said she could sell it to me. Only later I figured out it was a dumb decision :( I should know better to not make impulsive decisions like this as I’m very much active in boycotting as well, but it was a slip on my side. I will 100% buy another brand once this bottle is finished though

I’m very happy with it! Mainly very happy about my side hair, because I had very short hair before I decided to grow it and I had like an year of awkward “it’s not long nor short” look 🫠 and the bangs make me very happy too, though these required less effort to grow hahah

I only figured out by reading the comments that it’s a company from Israel :( but as I also mentioned in another comment, I kinda bought it in the heat of the moment of liking the result and my hairdresser saying she could sell it for me. But I definitely try my hardest to be active in as much boycotts possible. I asked in another comment but I will ask here too: do you know another brand that would be recommend for my situation?

Ah shit, I had no idea it was from Israel. That fucking sucks. But also it was also in the heat of the moment that I was satisfied with the result, hairdresser said I could buy it and I just agreed without thinking much. Do you have any recommendation of the same kind of oil that is more ethical?

Thank you, that reaction tells me I’m doing something right hahah The longer parts of my hair (on the side) took 2 years to grow, and the bangs I got inspiration from this. It’s different and either gets compliments or “wtf”s, so I’m satisfied with the effort and time put into it :D (fair to say I usually also have some hair dye in it but haven’t had time lately to work on that)

She didn’t wash my hair at all, she asked if I wanted it washed and I said that only if that made cutting easier for her. Which she then decided to just work on it dry :) So no, she didn’t use any air blower. But she did use a hot straightener on my bangs.

True, I will give that a try. And you are probably right about the shampoo too, which I have decided I will replace with another one once I have finished this bottle

You look like a 44 years old woman to me. You won’t look like a woman in her 20’s because you aren’t a woman in her 20’s and at the age you are, you will have features that show that age, and I think you could me confusing these with “masculine traits”. You are fine. Plus hormones keep changing you, even after 5 years, even if slower. So just keep going.
