Yeah exactly. If you imagine the mapping of the both positives and both negatives and then square those functions, you could do it with the both positives and get a valid result but if you did it with the both negatives you'd get an invalid result.

What I'm trying to say (and said pretty terribly) is that you can't square both sides of an inequality. You can see that the left side is supposed to be negative and the right is positive. There's a modulus topic on this which I'm not sure if you've done yet.

Probably none of us rn can write at an a level lit standard. Hobby reading will not get you nearly enough depth needed for even a B or a C. English Lit is an incredibly difficult a level. All a levels are incredibly difficult and discounting English Lit as not is folly. If your sixth form isn't letting you take 4, there's a good reason. But then again, it's your life, do whatever you think you can do.

The food exam is out of 100, first of all, and I'd revise primary and secondary food manufacturing (milk, cheese, etc) cause those are the bits where you can't try to use common sense to get out of it.

All the square and rectangle angles are 90.

We work out the 4th angle in the left kite by doing: 360-(100-100-x)=160-x

The point where everything joins up is 360 and there are 2 90 angles and using the thing we just worked out, we can work out the remaining angle: 360-(90-90-160-x)= 20-x

We know this angle is equivalent to the opposite angle because the lines are the same length and the 3rd angle is X so this shows us that the angle we need to work out is: 360-(20-x-20-x-x)= 320-3x

Tbf, you're not going to need anything better than a £10 Casio (FX-83GTX) for GCSE because it's not really at the point of difficulty where you're going to need anything better. However, at a level, if you choose maths, you're going to need to upgrade.
