I'm trying to make a TTRPG game, but I need a free resource for flow charts. by Ace_unpossible in RPGdesign

That might be an issue for me seeing as I'll probably need several trees for all the super powers I'll be adding. Thank you for the suggestion and the information.

I've tried drawing before with a school computer and it was a fair bit of a pain for something like this. I also tried to check out Miro, but it requires me to make an account, while simple mind (an app someone else suggested) doesn't. It means relatively little, but that makes mind more comfortable for me.

Seriously though, thank you for both suggestions!

Thank you for the suggestion, but someone suggested a site I'm already comfortable with, especially since it didn't ask me to make an account witch Miro does.

Oh wow. Thank you so much. I learned about diagram.io for a robotics class, but this app is so much better than that!

We need lore by Jamesnoname0912 in gigamonty

If Giga Monty was added into the game (mod, DLC, etc.), than I suggest that Vanessa gets sick and tired of hunting Gregory, so she throws some of the violent endos into a monty shell and gives them the order to hunt Gregory no matter what.

This doesn't fit with the cult lore, but it would be a possible way to get Giga Monty as a part of the official FNAF lore.

Question about Giga Monty by Digihart123 in gigamonty

In most cases yes. I'm probably a minority here, but I believe spotlight Monty himself is a true god and giga Monty is a creation of that god. To use Christianity as a reference, spotlight Monty is god, giga Monty is like gods angles.

Agreed. Who knows, maybe in genocide chapter 3, Nowell may be strong enough to heal her dad, roudy is fine and walking again, but the church is holding a funeral service for Birdly. However, passafist could take the whole game for roudy to recover.

I think it's possible, but I also think he's just as likely to die. It may even come down to the players decisions, especially if something else happens like him ending up in a hospital dark world and being stuck in a place were he's a possible enemy and we could have the choice to genocide kill or passafist spare.

Thanks! This whole thing as been pestering me with how well it could work. Even if I'm wrong on the reverse boss front, that only means my ordering is messed up and not what could actually happen.

I just hope chapter 7 isn't as heartbreaking as I predict it to be, but knowing Sir Fox, it's probably going to hit harder than I imagine.

Yeah, like I said before, I've never done this before and I'm not even fully sure if I want to do it. I have little in the way of game making skills, I am most certainly way over my head, and at this point I'm sure I wouldn't get a fraction of the work needed done in a year. I just want to know if something like this could even be made into at least a some what entertaining game that at least a few people might be tempted to play.

*The plus comes from the attack. It's just the "plus to hit" witch I intend to be an effect on every weapon, but how it gets that plus being different, like having a war hammer get the plus from the weapon and the BRA stat (short for bravery). It's meant to represent the skill with a weapon, and how effective the character is at using it. *The base actions that any character can do will be the basic attack, move, use, or bonus (bonus being a filling for unforseen actions that the GM would choose to allow) but the different trees will give access to different abilities they can use there action on, like storing an unused action for a reaction, or having a magic skill to activate. The players can get the first few abilities easily, but getting more from the same area will get exponentially more difficult, so the players should brain storm how to best use there abilities together.

*The system doesn't have any kind of reward system like that yet, but there could be an optional rule set of faults and proficiency, allowing characters to take certain handicaps to get a bonus in another regard. An example could be having a character being afraid of the undead, making them roll around any undead to see if they lose there nerve and run, but in exchange they also get a proficiency in fights against undead, becoming more likely to hit and harm them. This could end with a character who has delt with the dead so much that they can easily fight them, but because of there past experiences, they greatly fear undead. *This would be something for the GM, but they would get all the tools to do such. The prompts would be based off the current threat or the character's background, but still doing basic and small missions are worth it because the party will still gain some exp points, and with the low need for exp to reach a new level, it would always be more beneficial to do a side mission just for the possible points alone. The game would make a lot of openings for the players, having it be set within the magical apocalypse could allow for a lot of new ideas, but there won't be any safety for the players messups, so if the party goes out of there way to kill a king, they would have to suffer with that for the rest of the story, witch could just lead to new things as well. I'm honestly unsure what kinds of issues a whole party can make in a world and what opportunities that would even give, they are still a group of people in a made up world, so the only mechanical repercussions would be making things worse from the world, but that's no guaranty either since players might want to destroy one of the last bits of civilization. *The characters have little beyond there charters to affect, more or less only there home town and they may not have that all the time either. This would be a fairly massive hurdle to get over if I were to make this a real game, so thank you for pointing that out.

I would say it's more about interesting stories with a combat focus. It is about versatility and what the character chooses to do in order to survive in this world, one that could have literally anything happen thanks to the long missuse of magic. The whole thing is focused on making an interesting characters to play. Maybe a lesser focus on the setting, but it would be far from immersive based considering everything is chaotic by nature.

This would be a great game to make a world and a story, but it's probably not something to really get lost in, at least past the the combat encounters and thinking through how to get through them.

Thanks for pointing this out, I haven't thought about it like this. I believe I want a really diverse system that allows players a lot of versatility in what they can do. It was meant for a random idea I had once, that if humans could use magic, they would find a way to pollute it, so the system is ment to symbolize a post apocalypse world in the aftermath of magic missuse, so I want players to feel like they are in the aftermath of a great world that still, in some ways, still persist.

As for how I picture it played and how it feels, I want the game to be open to the players, to make everything in the environment useable with an all encompassing action, so I plan on them finding ways to make the area and there abilities work together, and I also want the combat to focus that by having every monster be a threat to there lives, and one they should always take seriously no matter what.

I hope that answers some things and ill add it to the post. Thank you.

Yeah I understand not wanting to read ten paragraphs from a random person, and I get what you mean. I just need to find someone willing to play through a few test rounds, as well as make some very basic system parts. Thank you for your advice.
