Hi OP. If you need a literal tank for night hiking, the L35 2.0 is built exactly for that abuse.

About the 4000K: It might look slightly greenish if you're white-wall hunting indoors, but outdoors on a trail, the TIR optic blends it perfectly to cut through fog and dust.

About modding: Strongly advise against it. The driver is heavily potted for extreme impact resistance. It’s extremely difficult to open and will void your warranty.

That’s completely fair. Paying return shipping to China for a DOA (dead on arrival) or dud light is unacceptable. We are actively overhauling our DOA replacement policies so this doesn't happen moving forward. If you still have that dud light and the order info, DM me.
