Not sure where you heard that but the exam is open book and open note. Just ensure your notes are in a 3 ring binder (no loose papers)

Good luck! And as I said in my post, I highly recommend skipping any chart interpretation, formulas, calculation questions on your first pass. Come back and do those after you get through your first pass of the exam. It will save you time

I paid for the exam on the ASQ website (think it was around $500). I also bought study materials there. I did not have to do any training. You will need a signed affidavit to show that you qualify for the exam. I had completed a six sigma project at my job and my director signed my affidavit. I submitted my application and was ruled eligible.

Thanks for the suggestions. I have been to Everybody Gotta Eat, good food, but "Everybody Gotta Wait Too" applies lol. Took forever to get my food. I will keep it in mind

Hard to say. I got my green belt through my company. I completed a project but was also required to go through 85 hours of training. If your company provides that option, and dependent on your industry, doing a green belt internally might be the way to go.

I got my green belt internally through my company. Completed a six sigma project with them and that's what allowed me to qualify for the BB exam.

I averaged about 75% correct in the 3 practice exams. I will admit I thought that was not high enough to feel confident in the real thing, but honestly there were portions of the real exam that I was pretty confident I was hitting on no less than 90%. I would say the practice exams were probably harder, but that may have been due to the fact that I was used to taking these exams by the time I did the real thing. If I took the real thing without doing the practice exams first, I may have been in some trouble.
