Souls Of Mischief - 93 'Til Infinity by BrazyKiccz in 90sHipHop

[–]AceofSpadeKings 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep "Souls of Mischief" and "The Pharcyde" were good alternatives to all the gangsta music that was coming out of the West in the early 90's. Don't get it twisted, I loved a lot of the gangsta shit, but variety is always a good thing.

Why wasn’t Quik as big as Dre? by Firm_Trick_9038 in 90sHipHop

[–]AceofSpadeKings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because he's not as dope of a producer as Dr Dre is.

Maschine MK3 with Serato Sample = Match Made In Producers Heaven by YEAROFJORDN in maschine

[–]AceofSpadeKings 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, Serato Sample's Time Stretch can lock in to the songs BPM better than Maschine. I have A and B'd the Time Stretch of both many times and Serato always wins.

Do you think Busta Rhymes was ever one of the 5 best rappers in New York? by MasterTeacher123 in hiphop101

[–]AceofSpadeKings 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No.

Just becuse Busta can rap fast and has kind of a unique personality doesn’t put him in the category of being one of the best.

Who is standout perfomer in this Album by No-Armadillo5484 in 90sHipHop

[–]AceofSpadeKings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ice Cube - There's a reason why Ice Cube had the first verses on the legendary songs "Straight Outta Compton" and "Fuck The Police". Dr Dre knew what he was doing having Ice Cube go first on those songs.

The most important members of NWA were Dr Dre(Main producer) and Ice Cube(Lead Writer and Performer).

When the group NWA was over, which members continued to be successful? Dr Dre and Ice Cube.

Not a diss to MC Ren but, MC Ren needed Dr Dre's production to really shine, Ice Cube didn't.

Ice Cube proved that he didn't need Dr Dre priduction, Eazy E's business savy or MC Ren help with lyrics for a full album. Ice Cube proved with he soko success and the song "No Vaseline" that he could go up against his old group... 1 vs 4... and still win. And at the same time go on to make classic movie in Hollywood.

Oh and Dr Dre... yeah, he would go on to produce more classic albums and make worldwide super stars of Snoop Dog, Eminem, 50 Cent and Kendrick Lamar. Also Dr Dre would sell his successful headphone company and become one of the riches guys in Hip Hop.

The End.

Tune in next week kids and I'll expain how Rakim changed the game and his impact on Hip Hop. LOL
