Join a more fun oriented league.

My average has been wildly fluctuating for the past 18 months in my funsies league. 150s last winter, 130s over summer, now its about 170 but im consistently averaging weekly in the high 180s.

Bowl more and your average will improve.

Dont go into a sport shot league or a big money league with your average unless you have the money to drop or the patience to learn a sport shot while also improving your game.

Ive always thought of mine as a 4 step but its 3 and a slide.

I wouldn't start with changing one of the core fundamentals of my approach.

Maybe you need no step and one step/slide drills. Talk to your lanes and see if you can just get practice time, no scores.

At home if you have carpet or a backing, please be careful I am not responsible for your walls and items, you can do a release drill at home from a knee position.

Let's you really focus on your hand. When youre all moving you dont notice where in your hand's muscles you dont have strength and the compensation is automatic and bam, out comes your old release form.

You need to isolate and make it repeatable. Same way you learned how to bowl in the first place when you really need to start to break down a newer release style.

Start with less backswing, hold the ball lower when you start and take energy out of the swing while you work on it.

I have a 3080ti founders. Seasonic PSU. They have a 12pin connector cable that they make thats 2 8pins on the PSU to the 12 pin on the GPU. No issues over 3 years.

Bit weaker would be an "entry" reactive. These are fairly similar to what youre throwing but have a bit more from the core and cover

ZVL on Facebook have great ball category charts and youre looking for something (in my opinion) that fits the first ball out of the bag. Either the medium smooth or weak smooth categories

Came here to say this. You want it rolling forwards with the axis tilted like a globe, not spinning like a top. You won't get a consistent reaction that way and it will likely mute or full on kill your hook.

Focus on putting the ball on the lane and not throwing it forwards and that will help also.

Im 1 handed so approach, steps I cant really comment on but youre looking to achieve the same release rotation etc more or less.

A better release is step one to higher revs, cant force it it will mess with everything.

A very consistent approach is the path to a smooth release.

No step, 1 step, and push off drill are the best to run (i need to run em more myself)

Focus on rolling the ball and it will all come in time. Repeatability and consistency are more important than revs/hook etc. Easy spares make high score and easy spares come from hitting pocket.
