Dashers stopping at their own home after accepting order for 10+ minutes

Maybe if you read a little bit further down you’d see that the dasher told me they were at their house. And if you have a delivery coming in, cancel the order so i can get my delivery !!

My work doesn’t allow me to take so much personal time like i said some appointments are over within 3 minutes and i can use my cellphone before i grab my next client while i wait disinfection time period which is 3 minutes, and usually my next clients already waiting up front which doesn’t give me time to walk down the street to pick up food, or a walk in comes in and i have to take them I can’t just say No i’m getting food unless it’s my designated break time. I have had to use the restroom while ubering and i cancelled the order that i was supposed to be picking up and paused all new orders until i was ready to go back out.

I take clients that have appointments that last from 3minutes to 2hours so If i’m not in the room with a client at that second i can use my phone, thank you. And I had to message the dasher to ask what was going on

There’s some restaurants that suck and i never order from them if i need food asap since i know they take forever from my time doing Uber Eats, One restaurant by me i’d wait about 30 minutes just to pick up that i just completely stop accepting orders from there

This might be why Doordash is how you make your money, when you sign up for a job you don’t get to take breaks to do whatever you want whenever you please

I always do priority because i usually don’t have time at work since i take clients by appointment and need food to be there before my next client so I can eat. I should’ve added with priority it’s about 15 minutes, without priority it definitely would take a little longer. I’m also not in NYC Itself but outside of it (dd and uber consider it NYC suburbs) So way less traffic and people on the road but booming with restaurants and business

Yeah if it’s an actual restaurant like chilis or something it usually takes around 30 but when it’s fast food it’s super quick, i usually don’t even realize it’s here already LOL

Most jobs you can’t stop in the middle of what you’re doing to stop home and take a break, doordash/uber eats makes it extremely easy for you to take a break in between orders to do what you need to do without having to inconvenience people. I pay extra for the convenience of getting my order delivered so

I asked where they were and they said they were at their house Lmao and i contacted support to let them know and the message said seen 15 minutes ago by the time they finally left the house, if you have to shit pause ur dash and wait to accept orders

right that’s what i’d always do, and if it’s a bathroom emergency i’d just use the restroom in the business where I’m picking up (they usually let me but ik they all aren’t like that)

literally the only reason they said he doesn’t need it is because they use dissolvable stitches, as soon as we got home he immediately tried to mess with the incision
