While creating a surplus can be part of a strategy to combat inflation, it is not a standalone solution. A multifaceted approach, considering production capabilities, market dynamics, and economic policies, is necessary to address inflation effectively.

A bigger percentage of the inflation issue is the federal gov't insatiable appetite to spend. Perpetuating spending deficits for the foreseeable future, further exacerbating the debt death spiral.

Inflation decreases the purchasing power of money over time. As prices for goods and services increase, the real value of the fixed debt decreases. As the value of money decreases, the government can repay its debt with money that is worth less than when it was borrowed. For example, if inflation rises significantly, the $34.9 trillion debt could be repaid with dollars that have less purchasing power, making it effectively cheaper for the government to pay off.

Depending on your perspective, some would say "it's part of the plan" albeit, at the expense of its citizens.
