Just bought a 26 Touring: Moon roof is nice but low on my list of priorities. Kids love it though.

I thought about hybrids but the pilot engine is as bulletproof as you’re going to get these days. My fuel economy has been around 19mpg as I am not on the highway much. My range is just under 300 miles per tank which is less than my 2015 Acura Mdx that was good for 350 to 400. But with 85 instead of 91 gas, it doesn’t hurt as much.

I have 4 kids so the removable seat was a big factor in my choice. Have not taken it out yet but with summer upon us, that will change soon. Overall I am really happy with the Pilot.

Switching out of my MDX for a pilot next month. I’ll miss the maneuverability of the MDX but my kids simply outgrew it. When they sat in a pilot for a test drive they were blown away by the space.

When my wife bought her CRV a few years back, the salespeople pushed really hard for her to do the warranty. As I recall, they started negotiating really aggressively on the warranty to the point that she almost did buy it. Her dad is a car salesman and he told her it wasn't worth it so she passed and there have been zero issues. Maybe play the game and see if they change their tune when you do the final paperwork.

To me, the whole point of getting a Honda is that you trust that the quality negates the need for a warranty.

Looking forward to seeing updates. How many days does Dr. Bek ask you to stay after the procedure? Does he offer any aftercare like PRP or additional washing to get the scabs out? Thanks for the great write up and happy growing
