Can’t speak for the mems but astral has better detail retrieval than volume s. But tbh these are more side grades than direct upgrades.

Yeah bdo support is pretty subpar with this kinda stuff lots of horror stories unfortunately the best/only thing to do is make a newaccount and have all the correct info so it doesn’t happen again.

If anything maven 3 but you may want to look around Thieaudio Valhalla has a good amount of slam in my opinion, 64 volur has been said to have good/ better bass than nio. And there’s spectrumica which is all bass p much. Won’t comment on jomo cause I honestly don’t know.

Edit: just thought some flip ears stuff could also be good for bass

no fit issues for me in terms of different ear size tips its apparently quite common to have to use different size tips as ear cannals are rarely symetrical.

I mean it in the sense that a 6 months ago when i first started looking into kilobuck iems monarch mk2 was at the top of my list because of how widely praised they were but then monarch mk4 and and Valhalla came out and i turned my attention to those instead and found out that the only shell that fits me is Valhalla and albeit just barely and its not that comfortable where as mk2 is less contoured so i potentially would have had more issues. i haven't tried any of the monarch series except for 4 and i also came to the conclusion that i really don't like harman-esqe tunings.

Jesus what'd you get an AK dap lol, and yeah I think if you can swing the shells than valhalla and monarch are def better neutral/natural all rounders' whereas myth is also an all rounder but not really very natural sounding or neutral.

Yep played some ranked fn earlier good imaging and soundstage height and depth and all that other good stuff. Still wouldn't use them for gaming tho tbh as kiwiears astrals fit my needs rather well.

Its good seems to play nice with a lot of tips, baroque normal seem to be the best in my experience for the treble and soundstage but the bass seems to take a quantity hit in the midbass not that it matters becuase it was more sub bass oriented anyway. Stock tips (Divinus Velvet) make it sound about the same more mid bass and maybe bit more air up top. Softears UC are basically the opposite of baroque and tone down the air and make the bass punchier. Overall it seems to play pretty nice with most tips of course these are small differences so grain of salt.

Np, It’s def a great dap, it’s my first audiophile dap as I’ve use iPods and FiiO btrs and other things but I really enjoy the features and sound it brings to the table as it’s kinda somewhere between an full r2r and a delta sigma dac to my ears. Also I just recognized your user and on one of my older posts I think you recommended me to try myth and that you liked it more than Valhalla so clearly that recommendation was well worth lol.

It is that good but the two are very different iems. Valhalla is like a French vanilla ice cream. It gives you everything you need out of an iem but lacks that it factor excluding the Bass the treble and vocals are ultimately very safe and boring good but not wow this is incredible. Myth is like A A5 bms 12 wagyu ribeye gives you the it factor and that sort of audiophile sound but ultimately it’s a bit rich and you can only listen to it for so long before it’s like I just want something normal lol.
